How many times have you failed on +9?

Seeing as +9 is basically the holy grail in this game, I'm beginning to think this game hates me.

How many times have you failed going from +8 to +9?

My count stands at 7 ... I have never made a +9



^^ probably could sell for 3-5mil as +8, it broke on +9


^^ as +8, EASILY 100-120mil, as +0, ~50mil. Estimated loss for failure: 50-70mil


^^ as +8, perhaps 60mil, as +0, 30mil. Estimated loss: 30mil

^^ this one, I have no idea. The stats were relatively good. Id say as +8 I could have gotten perhaps 30-50mil for it, 30 being EXTREMELY low, I think. Estimated loss on failure: 30-50mil

Was disappointed by this one since it had the same color as my 8d warlock rod, woulda loved to see how the glow would be on top of purple.

About 2 others that failed to +9 but forgot to grab a screenie, and tons of +7's that failed +8.
I found it great to find someone else who shared a similar hobby of +9ing noob items, everyone called me crazy but now I got someone on my side >:]

and roughly how much elixirs would you need on average?

do you test the item to go +5 and determine if you want to go +7 after that or wat?

I buy all the noob items at +5 or +6 already then try. I would say 75% of the time they fail to +7. I go through a lot of money failing to +7 but with the few +9's I made it was worth every failure. The glow is irresistible.

I didnt get a +8 shot of the shield, but it did go to +8.
These are the most recent +9 attempts that iv made since i lost my screenshot's, but i havent been more pissed about it than these two...they would have made a killer set

Never ever made it over +7, since i never tried. Its hard enough to get +6 let alone +9

iv had 4 +8s.... and only one went to +9.. which was the highest lvl item (lvl72 glavie 80cap)

i failed +7 a few times, failed +5 COUNTLESS times.
as a matter of facts i only reached +5 once, which was after 2 astrals ...

I do the same thing. Buy the items at +6 or higher for a few mil each, and throw a couple elixirs on them... you never know.

That sun shield actually I was letting my friend borrow for 2 months, and it was +5 last night. I want to get a +9 of every degree shield... so, heck, why not a sun. It went 6, then 7, then 8, then fail. Ive already got 4d, 6d, and 7d +9 shields (all of which, Ive bought BUT they're all unique things on my server )

Failed +9 3 times in the last week, again today and a level 72 +8 xbow failed

My friend just tried a xbow like 6-7 times from +5 to +6 , 1 time succeeded and failed from +6 to +7 ... other thing he lost like 25 astrals to make it from +4 to +5 and many many fails ... xbow is lvl 85 btw

I cant believe the people whining about failing anything past +5, you know its gonna be impossible, and you'd have to be amazingly, rich, greedy, and lucky to get anything past +5, some people have no idea how hard it is to get even +5. -.-

Lol i had like 10-20 mil when i failed with my +9 and i was lvl 68. Yes i was a bit greedy i guess but would have been nice to se myself walking around with +9

Its basically based on a certain statistics, I believe, like gambling machine, impossible to be random
I have a theory for the +9 success/failure rate . I will try and see how it works

I always thought it to be be a % to fail or succeed.

e.g. +4 to +5 20% Succeed 80% fail.
