Theyw ork by you buy drugs and booze in 1 city you then go to anotehr city and sell them there. Each city has a different rate so you make diff amount of profits. I'm going to go check chicago later.

40k to rent the tommy gun 20 for shotgun 30 for silent shotgun ( i thnk its a shotgun)

And you buy your own bullets.
