I loled.
Ok guys, on today's menu we have a serving of "Clokx - Original Artist Unknown". I'm sure most of you will recognize this song from Coldplay's hit "Clocks", and of course this is a remix of that song. So without further ado, here it is:
Code: Select all
Puppet's Commentary: I actually heard this version of the song before Coldplay's. When I first heard it, I put it on repeat, and started thinking of all the depressing moments in my life. I felt like crying, but at the same time it was the most amazing feeling in the world... I literally feel like I'm in another dimension when I close my eyes and listen to this song. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.
dont worry about the video its the music that counts

Eurodancer by DJ Mangoo
Of course you can post your own. And yeah, that song has become quite a hit in the Myspace community apparently...
Anyway, today's song is a bit more on the mainstream side, so a few of you might know it, but I feel it deserves a spot in this thread. The song is called "Overdose - Tomcraft". Tomcraft is a fairly well known DJ, and this is his best and most popular song.

Puppet's Commentary: I definitely love the beat of this song's chorus. The lyrics are quite entertaining, and are a great way to make some money with friends (Just bet them that they can figure out all 6 "She doesn't get enough's"). The synth is very well done, with a very standard base beat. All around, an excellent song to drive to
Oh geez, almost forgot to update the song of the day (wouldn't want to dissapoint my followers ^.^).
Ok, for today we have a song that I have grown to love immensely. The song is called "Dooh Dooh - Barcode Brothers (Darude vs JS10 Remix)". The original song is quite good, but as is often true, the remix is better (or at least this one is).
Code: Select all
Puppet's Commentary: This is a very unique song. It has a great beat, but what makes it so unique is the main surrounding chorus synth (ie before and after the chorus). This synth is what gives the song it's name. It almost sounds like when you blow into a bottle combined with a woman's voice. I love it, and hopefully you guys will love it too.

First off, I want to thank everyone for not only commenting, but submitting some of their own favorites. Kudos to you guys, and keep it up!
Today's wonderful number is another one of the many songs I put on repeat for a week or so. The song is called "Overload - Voodoo & Serano (Club Mix)" - yet another remix that's better than the original.
Code: Select all
Puppet's Commentary: I feel that this mix, while it may not have the most exciting first 2 minutes or so, does the song justice when the chorus hits. I can't help but want to go crazy at the chorus, and I actually made my own version of this song a while back (maybe sometime I'll upload some of MY Trance that I've made).
woutR wrote:hey puppet, do you know what kind of music this is?
[vid] I know it's some sort of trance or whatever, but I'm looking for some more songs of this genre and I can't really find it.
I was thinking like a mix between happy hardcore and trance or something I don't know.
That actually goes under a category called "Eurodance". Search for more Eurodance and you should find some similar songs.
Ok, so today's song is going to appeal to the Happy Hardcore fans (of which I'm a huge one). The song is called "We Need More Core - Ultravibes", and can be found in the album Bonkers 14. I only mention that so the people who are unfamiliar with the Happy Hardcore scene know to look up the Bonkers series if you like songs like this.
Code: Select all
Puppet's Commentary: First off, youtube KILLS the bass and hard synth of this song, so it's only half as good as it should be. At some point when I get all my music from my 3 80 gig Ipods back onto my new computer (lost them on my old one), I'll upload mp3s. As for the song itself, it's amazing. If you like Happy Hardcore at all, this should instantly go right up there in your list of favorites. Again, if you'd like more songs like this, check out the Bonkers CD series.

So I thought id give it a little crack, and see what I had in my playlist that you guys might be interested in. I’ll sort them into selections, not on their genre, but on their mood, and how they make one feel. Don’t be surprised if I throw some fun and silly songs into the mix, they are always fun to listen to once in a while.
Remember, these songs are of personal preference, and of how they make me feel when i listen to em, if you don't well i tried. I apologies for all the Videos in Advanced.

All comments are welcome, but remember. This is my additions, this is still Puppet's Daily Thread.
Not techno or trance. It's TECHNICALLY hiphop, but without synth, it's nothing to me :-/
Ok, so as anyone who's been paying attention to this thread has noticed, I didn't post a song yesterday. I deeply apologize, as IRL is much more important than SRF. As such, I will of course be posting two songs today.
This first song is probably going to ruffle a few feathers. As this is a TECHNO/Trance thread, I figured I'd post a techno song. I didn't want to post Moby, as I actually hate this music with a passion, but don't let me stop anyone else from enjoying it. Instead I'm going to post one of the few songs I like that's classified under "techno". The song is called "Nix - Goldenboy feat. Miss Kitten".
Code: Select all
Puppet's Commentary: I picked up the cd this song is on, called "Or", when I was last in the Netherlands a couple years ago. I didn't really like a lot of the songs, but I found this one to be amazing. It's a very simple progressive techno song. Let me say that again, it's a very SIMPLE progressive techno song. This song really hits the basic elements of techno, and it's a great listen all the way through if you appreciate it.
Today's second song is one that I've decided to post after getting a couple requests for more Happy Hardcore. This is another song off of the Bonkers series called "Chemicals in Motion - V.A.G.A.B.O.N.D.".
Code: Select all
Puppet's Commentary: I'm going to be honest, the first minute of this song makes me want to tear my eyes out. If you want to skip to about a minute in (1:09 to be exact), it won't hurt me one bit. After that, the fun begins. The chorus in this song is extremely fast paced, and extremely epically awesome. It almost reminds me of someone who's about to run around the world 10 times over while destroying everything in it's path and warping around.
[rant]I just wanted to interject to say the following. I see the view count going up, meaning there must be people visiting this thread, but I see little to no comments. It's not hard to leave a simple "I liked X song" or "I didn't like X song", and it really gives me more motivation to keep posting new songs. Ok...[/rant]
Oh. My. God. I loved that second song, it just puts me in a good mood. I'm definitely going to hunt down the mp3! I had heard some stuff by V.A.G.A.B.O.N.D. before but nothing this good
