I'm using sidereel.com/anime

Please click and help me with my little game. Don't worry it's not a link to a virus filled site or anything harmful. It's just like those links to help a little dragon grow thingie.

Re: where can i find anime for free on the internet
Has it occurred to you people that if no one buys anime and just downloads it, people will stop making it? Its all nice and idealistic that people will make these programs for the simple pleasure of seeing people watch it but in reality people do this for a living: thus money is required.
The more you download it the more your adding to the problem. Stop being stingy and go buy some, with a bit of effort its really not hard to afford.

Ok, there has been many arguments about this.
First of all, anime is made in japan, second Japan speaks Japanese. People outside of Japan aren't fluent enough to keep along with what there saying. Now the people who actually give the funding to make anime are Japanese, the stuff you buy in America or outside of Japan does not really effect what is made in japan. The money that it takes you to buy the DVD's all goes into making more DVD's and profit. Geneon has already pulled out of America.
Now, there are many titles that will never make it to America. So if you want to see it, you'll have to download it. Then theres the fact that it will take months to maybe even years until you see a program you want to see. If i want to watch The second season of Code Geass i don't want to wait a year before it gets to America, a few clicks and in little time I'm already watching it.
You think is only cost a little money to buy a full season or even whole series? Wrong it can cost a shit load. Now if you wanted to actually support the company that makes the shows you will have to buy the DVD's from Japan, which by the way, is more than it's worth.

Little that you know that, anime studios like GONZO started to distribute their animes for free on video streaming sites such as Crunchyroll and YouTube? Even with English translation right after the day it was aired on Japanese TV?
This proves that Japanese animation studios aren't money whores like American artists and movie studios who are just about copyrights to make them even richer. Most of these anime creators are making anime because they like doing it, not just for the sakes of earning money. It's called passion for art, unlike those copyright whores. It's more satisfactory for them to know that people from around the globe enjoyed watching their works, rather than just receiving big royalty fees.
Also, not all anime fans just download and watch animes for free, I purchase DVD of the animes I really like. And, like X-lax mentioned, anime DVDs takes too long to reach outside Japan. Most of the DVDs are only released when the series finished anyways. I would hate that, knowing that Japanese people could watch them on TV every week. That's why I download animes, and purchase DVD if I really enjoyed them because I like collecting these kinda stuff. It's a fact that there are always people purchasing anime, if not there won't be licensing companies lying around to leech from other people's works.
If you truly wanted to support anime studios, you would have to purchase DVDs in Japan, thanks to those license companies. Anime studios only receive a portion of the income from DVD sales from abroad anyways.

Wrong, it's a ploy. To watch at any quality level higher than shittube, you need to pay. However, what most who support what they're doing say is that they are trying to change the industry. However, as no company has followed suit (and I doubt any will as it is Gonzo after all) I doubt this will work. However, if they were to release, say, Haruhi Season 2 with a similar system, except this time the HD version payable through debit card, positive change would be definite.

200% agree. This is the main reason I strive to live in Japan when I get older.
So, though it's copy pasta of points and thoughts I had on another forum, it still applies ^ ^

I agree completely. I can't really afford to buy them when the prices are so high.
I can, but I won't.
I do not want dubs.
I want subs and I don't want to be charged for the dubs.
I want to pay for Anime, but I want to be able to download the highest resolution possible.
I want a system of payment that goes through the fansubbers we have now.
I want this system to be usable by those who are underaged and don't have access to cc's.
Otherwise I will continue what I am currently doing. I do not wish to support how the American Anime industry is doing things, and so I shall wait. Wait until I can move to Japan and support the Japanese Industry. That's just how it is for me. That or what I suggested above.

Wait, is Haruhi Suzumiya having a second season? I thought that was just a false rumor.

Just the trailer was a fake.
Trust me, I've seen the ad in a legit magazine, as well as been on the secret site and seen the end pic with further confirmation.
It's coming, don't worry.
