1. Check the party matching before stating something like this.
5-6 Pages of parties constantly in pt match, 80% of them are Euro (8men/SHARE of course) since Venus is euro based server.

2. Venus isn't like every other server. You need to know the specific grinding places/mobs and check them before stating that it's a dead server.
Legits on Venus stick to a universal grinding schedule for leveling.

Venus hasnt got alot HIGH LVLS leigts
but we have got alot LOW LVLS legits
its normal at least we dont have alot of bots like u
cuz u have 3000botter 24hours
and only a small legit players
sam have got aloooooooooot of players there
just go and see sam south gate
there is alot guys pvping and guys are lvling
u dont have a spot to grind cuz all are botting NOT like as

For all those who is not familiar with Venus. Try it, give it some days so u can see the difference. Do not judge it on the first day as it is really very different compared to other servers.
EG. in Venus, JG and DW is dead, its the Euro side thats filled. PvP takes place in Sam not DW.
Its the best u can ask for.
Those whos not in Venus, what do u do when u come to SRF? U browse General Discussion n refresh it to check for new threads. Seldom goes to your server's page.
Venusian on the other hand. Most of them check Venus page 1st. Then GD. Goes back to Venus, refresh refresh. There are so many news going ard in Venus. U don't wanna leave urself behind.
Give it a try, GUARANTEE Satisfaction, atleast better than ur ex server XD

Personally, I like Oasis, just like you do. Of course, there's a lot of botters, and sometimes, the supremacy of certain guilds and their members (like Zodiacs) is disturbing, but, overall, I'm pleased with the server.

I'm level 70 now, up and running. I liked the server just as much when I was in my 20's, tbh. Oasis was always fun, I remember the 70 cap days, when I was grinding at ghost bugs and I saw Imperial thieving with 10 fire bulls, it seemed amazing.

Don't know, for me, Oasis's charm has always been there.

Of course people form Venus will state their server is the best, even though you think in a different way, in my opinion everyone that really loves the game and started in XXX server will always have some sort of "connection" to it and when they leave for X reason they will feel nostalgic, of course this only apply to older player, i can say this by own experience.

Now, why does some players feel like going to Venus? (only happens in SRF) Its because of the amazing "publicity" Avalon and BHA guys has made, and we cant deny they have done a good job in giving Bots a hard time, but most of the player that feel attracted to this kind of "publicity" are only new players (Which is not bad). Anyways i hope at least some get my point, you do what you want to do and if you feel ok, then it's ok.

Publicity? Fck publicity. I went to Venus because all my friends on Alexander quit the game. They were the reason I kept playing on that server. The day Venus came out I made a hybrid s/s, I didn't even know Fly and NB were on the server until I heard about their guild war. Been playing since February of 07 and you know what? Fck Alexander. Venus may be European based (personally I prefer glaivers to all builds) but its a nice server with real people. Even after Utopia opens, I'll still be on Venus with Asylum.

FYI, It makes me really happy when newcomers to the game say Venus is the first server where they were treated like an equal instead of a noob. Where they were accepted and instead of being guildless the next day, they still had a tag over their head.

You cant claim an opinion to be wrong.
The difference between Venus and other servers are that Venus has low lvl legits that aren't gold bots. More legits, less total real players. Meaning other servers have lots of player bots with some legits making the overall population high while Venus only has legits with few bots. Just depends on how you like to play the game.
If you like pvp, jobbing, guild wars to be only capped players older servers are better for you. If you like people to grind with then Venus...
Every older server has only capped players. Theres no room for anyone else. Meaning you need to be determined or on the server since practically the beginning.

There's always, of course, people that went to Venus for other reasons, "Destiny", friends advice or just random luck.

Like i said, (everything you said is mostly all i said but from a player point of view) i agree with the newcomers thing and why's that?, why does newcomers feel good in Venus? Cause of the comunity Avalon and BHA has build up. I know not everyone in Venus went there because of the "publicity" made to that server on this forums, but most of the newcomers are there cause they read here the small "utopia" venus got.

We also have 4-5 pages of parties constantly too..not a big deal.

no i mean where there were enough trades for me, a guy who never capped, to enjoy himself theifing whenever i wanted to. Only high lvls trade on Venus, low lvls 1*....hardly anything in between....so its boring, i didn't have to wait to cap in order to enjoy jobbing.

Lol. In the old servers being capped means domination. Having Sun means supreme power. On Venus there is a lack of mid level trade runs worth robbing but its like that on most servers.

Its either A massive Alliance run (and robbing one of those is just asking for shit) or A <40 level trader running one star. Then like other servers they go Hunter the moment they hit 40, some stay trader but they don't go trading unless its a Union run.

So we have:
A lot of trades that can't be robbed.

Capped players don't dominate.

I want all of them to realize this: In SRO everyone is NOT meant to cap. Venus just plays the game the way its meant to played, that is why we have like <5% of the server Legits capped.

Well if you look at it like that Venus is pretty dead, I mean there are not few high levels, I reckon there is over 50 70+ players and these players dont use their reputation to set up guilds unions and to help other people because when you leave the two unions you are out on your own.


You say there would be tons of drama between the legits but yet I get repremanded and leave the guild because I was making drama between legits... kinda contradictory.

You say there was like 1 trade a month when you take into account the life of the server. And even then if Avalon go on a trade nobody can rob it, so it is kinda boring and pointless really.

And as far as pvp goes, its a euro server so if you are chinese you are irelavent and you might as well not go pvp. And when Euros go and pvp it is just a skin or bless fight so realy boring to watch.


My point is that Venus is an all round boring server, the people that run it make it out to be better than it is. If you want a solid server with action all the time I would not recomend Venus, it is a dead server in that regard. If you want a sever where there arent that many people, were there are people you can talk to then venus might be your choice. But SRO is not a chat game its a pvp game its all about your level, gears and skills its not about who you can chat with.

Venus like everybody says is not like any other server, and in my eyes that is a bad thing, it is lacking in many areas and the thing that it has over all other and that is a large number of legits, doesnt make up for the places that it is lacking in. Many of the legits are noobs who dont realy know what they are doing or are low level, these are not the type of people that make a server worth moving too and just act as simple clutter in the server.

But the thing that showed me that its not a good server, is that if I a solo grinding chinese can out level most bots and euros then the server doesnt realy have much to offer.

Venus' biggest Flaw: Legits love other legits to much.

EDIT: They are more likely to dominate but they don't dominate. Our capped players aren't what I would call the type to want to Dominate.

One thing I dislike about Venus is its hard to stay motivated. There isn't any drama. The last Time I saw serious drama was when Witch *etc* Left *etc*. Its kind of hard to have a really competitive rivalry when Everyone is your friend and best buddy. I don't like having botters as rivals as they don't use their hands.

Cape PvP is ok but I don't enjoy it because (this happens on all servers) There will always be some ass who decides there is nothing wrong with interrupting a dual. PGrinding is fun but eventually you get bored and want to go job. Being a trader is boring and the only way to spice it up is doing a Union run but wheres the fun in Sitting on a Transport unopposed. Being a Hunter is stupid because its not worth protecting a one-star and the traders could probably make multistars on their own. Being a thief is pointless because well, I already explained that.

Alliance + Legits that love each other = Failed PvP.

I mean community wise Venus is live and Kicking.
PvP is one big fail.

Personally a large number of capped players, no matter how they did it > low number of legit capped players.

PvP isn't fun at low levels. My opinion. At 3x, a nuker can one-hit another nuker, it's like a wizard vs wizard at a higher level. Whoever gets a first hit.

For me the game is about pvp. Not the grind. The grind, I hate it.

I do however wish that there were more euro parties on my server. I've honestly, never been in an 8/8 euro party. I've had 5/8 at most. That was pretty awesome.. but even after 4-5 hours I had to stop.
Anyway, my /rant of venus, some people like it others don't.
