Why is it you care your band gets rated screamo or death metal while it's actually deathscreamo-metal.

because though im stil young, i hate these kids running around thinking they know everything making up genres and styles which are just copys of something else.

The proper music genre is the true one

genres mean nothing. Genres are created by the music industry so they can categorise everything and nobody can be original. If someone is original they get put into some random genre until the industry creates a new genre for them. But its still annoying when dumbasses go "OMG! SLIPKNOT IS THE BRUTALIST DEATH METAL EVA!" and so on.

I hate this kinda music.

Call me a queer, but I actually love artists like Sugababes, Girls Aloud, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Lady Sovereign, Japanese music, Korean Music, Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears, Alphabetics, Mika, Aly & AJ, Skye Sweetnam, Jonas Brothers, Pink, Missy Elliot, Nelly Furtado, Black Eyed Peas, Basement Jaxx, Fergie, Jem, Krezip, PussyCat Dolls, Rihanna, Lil' Mama, Stacie Orrico, Sunblock, and other stuff like that...

Hell, Even the Spice Girls for all I care.

I really never got drawn to other music then Pop, R&B and HipHop.. well, okay, I listened some Nightwish, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Electric Six, Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco, but they just have awesome songs...

So no please to this Screamo and Hardcore shit, and especially to Dutch crap.

Those who claim that hardcore (and thus (scr)emo) comes from metal fails.

It's originated from punk music.

First there was punk.
IIRC some people in the 80's started making different music and "behaving differently" and thus hardcore was born.
Then some people made hardcore with more emotion leading to emo(core).
What people call emo these days isn't emo but poprock while wearing black clothes (cft tokio hotel and fall out boy).

Anyway I prefer listening to punkrock and light hardcore.

A few good bands
Dropkick Murphys

//fail no one said it came from metal we said it is metal, big dif, metal came from a mix of rock and punk. rock came from folk music, tbh not sure where punk came from maybe came from rock in a drastic way

but screamo and hardcore are not stand along genres, they aint even genres at all!!

and yeh ofc genres were made by the music industry and yes songs will be put under random catagorys until a new genres is created but seriously nothing major is out their also screamo and hardcore music sounds a lot like metal. well from the songs you all have posted anyways

Uhh "Soilwork" and "Killswitch Engage" are both very good.

Also on the more Hipster front of things "The Getaway Plan" is very good also.
Torrent that though. "Other voices other rooms" is the better album.
No matter how much you think you love somebody, you'll step back when the pool of their blood edges up too close.

Off-topic:

Children of bodom is awesome, IMO. So is Mercenary and Arch Enemy. As far as I know, they are classified as Melodic Death Metal. That genre combines both a rich, valuable musical part and the power that death metal traditionally holds. That's why I like it so much.

Examples:
In Flames - Crawl Through Knives
Children of Bodom - Living Dead Beat
Mercenary - 11 Dreams
Arch Enemy - We Will Rise

:)

except the in flames and children of bodom songs wouldnt be classed as melo death metal by elitists. They are both songs after both of the bands supposed downfalls towards mallcore or at least away from their original styles.

Take Hate Crew Deathroll from Children of Bodom as an example, then. They drifted away from their original style with "Are You Dead Yet", and that's why so many people criticized the album.

Hate Crew Deathroll and Something Wild, on the other hand, underline the style I really liked much better.

Something Wild - Touch Like Angel of Death (original awesomeness):

they may be drifting from what they usually do but its 100% not original so you cnt make up a genre for it
