Pure INT Spear Vs Hybrid Int Spear
IDK, I would do either 5:1 or 7:1 or 2:1 or pure Int. I want to do the fastest lvling and best pvp one. Thanks!

Re: Pure INT Spear Vs Hybrid Int Spear
Hummm. If I were to make a Spear nuker, (since they have the Highest Mag Dmg) I would go full int, so I would be pure to do the Highest damage possible.

Re: Pure INT Spear Vs Hybrid Int Spear
Full int = maximum damage, but you'll be squishy.
Barely HP and no shield is a dangerous combination.
I'd say hybrid.
You have more HP and thus survivability.
Balance > 84
90/90/90/30 build (light, ice, heuk, fire)
Balance < 84
90/90/60/60 build (fire, heuk, light, ice)

If I do hybrid, I would do 2:1, just throwing that out there. IDK which still, just indecision. I want to level fast, and be a good thief/job wars and cape pvp.

Re: Pure INT Spear Vs Hybrid Int Spear
well i suggest you go 7:1 hybrid, if you go hybrid at all..at lvl 90..you'll have 90% magic and still have 8.1k hp
if you go 2:1 hybrid..you'll only have 11.6k hp but only a 73% magic (naked)...which might make it hard for pvps
if you are doing light/ice/spear...i suggest you go 7:1 since your snow shield will pretty much make you like a 2:1 hybrid anyways
but you'll still hit hard.
if you go pure int (i dont suggest it, it's strong but easy to kill)...you'll have 6.4k hp with 96% mag...

oh and i didn't include the hp passive from heuksal too

Re: Pure INT Spear Vs Hybrid Int Spear
I don't want to be squishy
. But I really want to deal damage, but with snow I should last a while. I really want to do good at jw and theiving. And leveling speed.

this is how i would do it:
Spear - Full Int - Max Dmg possible!!!!
S/S - Hybrid - High Dmg/Decent Defense
Spear - Full Int - Max Dmg possible!!!!
S/S - Hybrid - High Dmg/Decent Defense

You've got it backwards
With a s/s since you have a shield and theres a good chance it'll block some attacks you should go pure int.
With spear since theres no way you'll block any attacks you should go hybrid.

Of course, that would make sense if you want a balanced char.
But I (and this is just me) like to take full advantage of whatever char I play with.
So a spear having the highest mag attack I would go full int to make the Maximum damage possible.
I personally think that the points you place into Str to a Spear nuker wont make a big difference, so I prefer to go pure.
Again that's just me

Not really if they use protecter and have a nice set they'll be fine with 60 ice, 2:1 hybird int cant use a snow shield of 50% they're mp is gone in a few hits.

Re: Pure INT Spear Vs Hybrid Int Spear
I am undecided, cuz pure int is more damaging but its more like a glass cannon. A hybrid spear does less damage but can survive longer. 2:1. I HAVE NO CLUE!

Well, I have made my FIFTH spear char, and I have to vote for 5:1 hybrid 90/90/90/30. Pure int was a poopshoot for me, as I died so easily it wasn't even funny (in PvP, if you want to farm/unique this char is GREAT). Next I tried 7:1, and that was a little closer, but still pretty squishy. After that I went with 2:1, thinking I really needed the extra hp, but then my damage was just CRAP. Finally, I tried 5:1, and that combo fit like a glove. I survived ten times better than pure or 7:1, but my damage was still awesome. After playing an 80 5:1 Spear for a year, I have now made ANOTHER one on Hera because I love it so much.
My 2 cents.
