Fire Or ICe?

Im a pure str blade character and i was wondering should i get fire or ice for imbue. fire is stronger and burns but ice still freezes the enemy and slows them down. i need help asap

Fire. one-hit kill, then you don't need to freeze, eh? ^^V

Plus, at higher levels there's the problem of freeze immunity.

ice ! look much much better for me, for pve, u ll never use hp pot(u ll be richh!) for pvp... hm, at high lvls, manys guys have immunity, but npc thief, and at low lvls it helps a lot. and, everyone wont have 100% immunity at 70 ^^

Tablet of fog... adds 20% ice immunity to jewelery. You can now get 80% antifreeze in the low levels. Forget ice as a weapon. What you might save in hp pots, you'll spend in mp pots.

Fıre ıs more damage and hıgh burn damage and ıce ıs lowest damage and freezes
you can get rıd of the freeze effect wıth pıll or wıth the new alchemy
ı dont thınk ıce wıll be usefull for pvp but ı dont know for pve.
go for fıre unless you lıke the freeze effect very much

Ice is typically useless unless you're going for the buffs. Fire shield + Ice Resistance (I get like 20 tablets of these a day ) = Basically /IMMUNE/ to ice. No use for anything else but PvE.

well if you have the sp, you can take ice to the 3rd book of imbue and fire all the way, then you can be versatile ^^

idk, the ice is helpful against powerful mosters. If you cant kill em in one hit with the fire, you can freeze them with ice then still have time to attack with fire. Just go for both. It really depends on how powerful your character is. If you can kill it in three or less hits, use fire. If it takes more than 3 or 5 then use ice to slow em down.

Go with fire, ice is too weak and by the time you freeze them with that ground freeze move they've defrosted by the time you can do some real damage.

just go for both

you'll be getting the ice tree for the buff and passive anyway
and fire tree for a lot of the physical stuff (and even the mag def buff)

ideally, ice is a no no for a lot of reasons others have already said

but practically speaking, not everyone gets the immunity and the real world has lag... and str chars pray for luck to get a crit more than depending fire's damage advantage over ice to get a kill. in the end, ice will save ur butt a lot of times more than fire
