I don't get it, all this fairy tale shit has made unicorns into this majestic kind creature that is full of love.

Think about it, what would that horn be the? To impale people. I doubt it's actually nice, infact unicorns look scary, huge horses with sharp objects? Sound dangerous.

Unicorn a horse with 1 horn in the middle. This one is a dear. If in ancient times the unicorn was inspired by a single horned deer then it should be a deer not a horse, in the stories. But maybe a deer is too small so they made it a horse.

white horses --> positive image. white, good. hero on a white horse.
single gold horn. -> gold, again, image of a hero. Image of the horn was that it contained magical properties, not that it was used as an offensive weapon.
