FatSmurf who was banned from SRF a while ago did it to his character, he charged back months of silk because he didn't want to sell his character (something like he didn't want other people using his name.. idk) but anyway, his character ICE_CUBE is banned and will stay like that.
Anyway, to the threadstarted, if you really want to do it, just either google how or go to the paypal help/support section - I think they have one.

edit; K, I believe that it is called fileing a Dispute. You can find out more about it in the Resolution Center of Paypal.
If that's it, you can chargeback all silk in the last 45 days, but it may take up to 20 days to receive the money as they say they want to 'investigate'. I doubt they would get a response from JM if they tried to contact them - which is why so many people CAN chargeback probably.

edit edit! Forgot one thing, if you do decide to do this, don't try charging more silk on another account because your paypal account will be blocked from joymax. (At least that's what I read.. and it makes sense)

What does that have to do with ANYTHING? He lost his account and wants his money back from a service he has already received. He lost his account. HE lost it..not joymax. Now had this been the portal screwup; sure, chargeback every last penny. Where the banning of bots plays a role here, I fail to see.

It doesn't matter how much of a "sad excuse for a company" Joymax is. The principles are the same. You purchase a service (whether you're required to or not). Someone "steals" some of that service from you. Then you steal the money back that you gave to the company for those services.

As others have pointed out, what you fail to realize is that 99% of the time, SRO accounts are not hacked. Hacking would be if someone performs an exploit against Joymax's servers, gains unauthorized access, finds out where your account info is, changes it or accesses it, etc... In that case, Joymax created the vulnerability (or didn't patch it) and allowed people to exploit it.

If you give me your password, I log in and steal your stuff, I didn't hack you. Joymax can see that I logged into your account, but that doesn't make it a hack. The only thing they might possibly do about that is ban you for sharing your account (if account sharing is against TOS).

Aside from account sharing rules, why should Joymax care if you allow someone else to log onto your account and steal your stuff? It's not their job to prevent your "friend" from robbing you if YOU gave him/her permission to log in. It's your fault.

I've had 3 accounts scammed... I know how it feels but you get over it... I had a 79 wizard [in odin] and 2 other accounts scammed from me. Now I have a lv 89 rogue and i'm well on my way. You get over it if you enjoy playing the game..

it's not an eye for an eye, it's and eye for a strand of hair. u really think joymax needs the couple $ u put into ur char? sure, it is a morality issue, but i choose to disregard all that because joymax could care less what their customers think. it actually does matter how bad the company is. i have this mentality of if they don't respect me, i don't respect them. the business world is built on mutual trust and understanding. we don't have that wit joymax at all. what's to stop them from stopping silkroad netime? nothing except they won't cuz they get so much profit. so if they can stop their service netime they want, why shouldn't we at netime take back our money for a shitty product?

ur county fair and verizon examples are fine, but they don't hold up to joymax one bit. u'r thinking of this in nice whole numbers, the ones and twos that make the world an easier place, but u'r forgetting the decimals and imaginary numbers. it's 1.01, 2.02. 2i etc. beneath that nice morality are more factors that you have to consider.

Joymax should ban you for sharing your account information. Sharing your account information is against the Terms of Service. If you purchased something and received it then something unfortunate happened (after you used the item) due to your own stupidity you have no right to take the money back.

I'm fine with fun but they(the players) lack the ability to see beyond the horizon. They see what is in front of them but never bother to reason further, well, before I start rambling:

If there are more people like you, which there are, imagine if they all shared their information (like the op). Say the person they shared their account with stole their items. (*Note: At this point it does not involve Joymax, clearly a case of a stupidity) Now, these people are angry. The only person to blame is themselves but humans, as short-sighted as we are, will find a scapegoat. The scapegoat had no hand in the stolen items, nonetheless, they blame Joymax. Now if a handful of people charge back it is fine. Say several thousand charge backed, what then? How about Several Hundred Thousand (Note* Over a short time span). Yes, they get their money back but their inability to think of others causes them to lose something greater: The game.

~ A Thing to keep in mind: Every action has a consequence, when said action is taken (near simultaneously) by several Users the consequence builds. In the end those Users who take part in such Actions only hasten the death of what they 'love'. Define love as you want, I have no time for semantics.

~ Silkroad Forums, is a Legit forum. For that reason I won't allow members to teach others how to commit fraud. Charge back is equivalent to CCF and therefore an Illegitimate action.

isn't it nice to think that several hundred thousand will chargeback? except it's not gonna happen. realistically, there are more people like me who will chargeback than there are people like prometheus who is much too lenient. people like me won't just chargeback for no good reason though. losing an accnt is a very good reason to chargeback, but not everyone who lose their accnt to stupidity will chargeback, and even less people lose their accnts, which brings the numbers to such a small percentage of the player population that joymax won't even feel the loss. we should feel lucky that real hackers don't waste their time on player accnts.

I'm not being harsh. You're a great member and player, its just when I read the word charge back first two things I think of are: CCF and Consequences. Most of my examples are very unrealistic.
