german or french

german is good for business, because of colonialism, a lot of ex colonies speak french - which might be good for business once they start doing something with their land. Otherwise, it would be personal preference.

If you manage to become fluent in Arabic, you probably wouldn't have any trouble getting a job with the government.

However, just pick the one that interests you the most.

I went for French, but my only choices were French and Spanish. All I did in French was sit around and talk with the babes, and I did fine. Was a lulzy class. My teacher always told stories about her crazy past. One time she was talking about she had to make calls for a funeral home, and her coworkers pulled the "Anita Hummer" prank on her. Surprisingly, I was the only one who knew what a hummer was. A cheerleader girl kept on asking me about it, sh1t was SO cash.

But I digress. Out of those choices I would pick French, because quite a bit of English is borrowed from French.

Because you dont encourage them too, stop having signs and information in Spanish,
if its all in English then they have to learn it.

It's like spitting in your own mouth without letting any saliva drool down your face - it's pretty hard - but I can teach french too.

smartest choice is French or Spanish since their both languages that are spoken in several countries. Arabic isnt important to learn neither is Italian. German could be important if you live in europe

In Belgium they don't do the hard G as much, much easier to understand imo. I don't speak it but I can understand it and read it. TV ftw. :P

+1, geography is absolutely essential in almost everything you will learn at any level of education.

3D animation
Web design 1 /web design 2
pre- engeneering ( robotics team)
P.E.
health

In highschool, classes like 3d animation and webdesign are useless. They teach you things you could learn on your own, and if you plan to go deep into that domain, you will need to dedicate a lot of personal time learning. It's a waste of classes.

PE is great if you're not really great in academia and need a boost to your average to get your requirements for university.

Although, not sure about the US, but here your choices and grades don't really matter until you get to grade 12. All you need to do until then is pass and get the prereqs for the programme you're going to apply to. The only time grade 11 matters is if you do really really good. But you shouldn't need to worry about that in grade 9.

Just try to get a strong foundation in the sciences and arts, and follow up your second/third language courses. It's better to make sure they weren't a waste of time and learn them until the end, than to drop them half way through highschool and wasted all that work on not learning anything worthwhile.

They used to tell us the same thing about points counting. It's complete bullshit because everything you learn is foundation for the next year. If you do great in grade 12, it's irrevalent how you did in grade 9, and the same thing in reverse; if you did bad in grade 12, they won't care that you did good in grade 9, learning the very basics of whatever subject they're looking into.

You need to balance your schedule with the following:
*Classes required to obtain your diploma. EG: English, Math, Basic Science, etc.

*Classes that are required for later on. EG: American geography, so later on you can take World geography.

*Classes you enjoy but that will ALSO increase your average (very important!). EG: Plastic arts, PE, Religion, Webdesign, etc.

They should be chosen in that order. What's very important is that you filled in your last couple slots with classes that will boost your average, and don't require a big workload. When you send in applications, or your school holds their annual rewards thing, your cumulative average will be inflated - this results in awards, bursaries, scholarships, and acceptance to good post secondary schools.
