Everything look the same "with one's style". But when comparing to others, it's different. But most manga use similar styles, only a number stands out with their own unique style, from shading to drawing. For me, My style is a mixed between Masakazu Katsura's style and own style. There's other styles that I like as well, but Katsura's style is the one that inspired me most.

Ef wasn't that great. The characters and parallelism (novel) were the only thing that made that story interesting in my opinion. To be honest, the artwork really put me off...

Animes like Ef and Clannad has generic harem art which I can't stand, story and art wise. Not to say that they are bad, in fact they are quite good, just too typical harem for my taste.

Hahaha, some of them are good as eye candy and to past time. But when they try to take it to mystery/drama, like ef, kinda fails. I could not understand how could a girl with an eyepatch(???) and illness(maybe) just show up at an abandoned train station at nowhere(???) suddenly when the guy goes there to read every day(???). Lord knows how many fault is there in just that scenario, so I just gave up after the first episode even after hearing all the hype about it. The only "serious" harem I liked was True Tears, great art, character designs and animation. Though it shouldn't be categorized as a harem, when actually two girls were serious about the pimp rather than 2 zillion in the game.

Haha and xlax, it's more fun to play hard to get rather than just getting down straight into business :P

its the story thats more important, you can teach anyone to draw manga, you can be an amazing artist but if you can't produce a good storyline, your drawing skill is worthless.

If your artwork is stunning enough you can get mindless otakus(sp) to follow your anime and make yaoi out of it.

Well I thought Clannad's animation was just fine. Not amazing, but a hell of a lot better than Ef's. Someone said something about Clannad, but I don't really feel like finding the quote... ^ ^

Thought you were quoting it from another forum/site. :P

What about Rental Magica? Just started watching it, it looks pretty decent I think. Nice character designs, great seiyuu, magical stuff. The character designs looks typical but I think it's great that way. Not to mention the our President of Astral is voiced by Fukuyama Jun, the same seiyuu for Lelouch from Code Geass.

Taking about joke subs, TTGL's ep. 25 by BSS had a joke sub on it as well and it kicked ass.

What is seiyuu in English again? Voice actor?

I thought news about Haruhi Suzumiya's second season was just a misunderstanding, something about DVD release that misled people thinking there will be a second season. Not 100% sure though.

Touche on Black Lagoon by the way. Don't really have anything on my wish list for a new season...
