but it has to be like a scream/moan combo kinda thing at the same time while she closes her eyes and bends over backward with her fingers running through her hair like a herbal essence commercial. She also has to be decently hot, not a whale or else we'd have to man the harpoons.

lol, you guys find that calming/soothing? o.o

I dreamt that my brother died, he died different ways. Does that mean anything?

One was that he was ran over by a car, and one was that he fell from a roof. Seemed so real..

I discovered one of my favorite sounds ever.
I was at a lan party which lasted 2 days. On the night of the first day, i slept under my computer desk. And i realised that just the sounds of like 5-10 computer fans going slowly was quite soothing, i fell asleep real easy.

Breaking ice

The sound of my cigarette burning

the grass moving on a soft breeze,

sand blowing up and coming down on a breeze

music

I just can't handle silence...

I freak out when everything is silent...

Silence ain't calming or soothing for me....

The crackling sound when wood bruns, you know what i mean.

It makes me feel so warm and cosy lol.

Or the sound of falling rain on the roof when you're in your warm, nice bed :D

Happens to a majority of people. More severe cases are called tinnitus.

wait so i can get it fixed lol

Dictionary.com wrote:Tinnitus
A buzzing, ringing, or whistling sound in one or both ears occurring without an external stimulus. Its causes include ear infection or blockage, certain drugs, head injury, and neurologic disease.

noun
a ringing or booming sensation in one or both ears; a symptom of an ear infection or Meniere's disease
If it is mild and infrequent no worries :P It is rarely a symptom of a serious problem. Mayo Clinic: tinnitus

On Topic: +1 to Celtic music and environmental sounds. Crickets chirping, that sort of thing. Anything subdued that suggests mommy's heartbeat while in the womb is soothing to me. BUT NOT FROGS - they scare me.

It's time to crank up, me old pall.

Frogs are awesome.

I like them. Unless they get annoying...

Anyways,

I only have that beeeeeeeeeeeep when I'm in total silence. No cricits, no frogs, no flapping wings, no ringing bells, no sound of a bike tire on the wet bike path, nothing.

Then the beep comes in...

Don't assume it is an irrational fear.
The other day my son was on the phone with me.
I asked (timidly), "Is that crickets I hear in the background???"
"No, it's frogs."

Then, at the exact moment that he mentioned the word 'frogs' they went silent.
I pointed out to him what had just happened. Psychic frogs defy explanation.

So then later (or so my son tells me) he was laughing at me and telling the embarrassing story to his girlfriend. But when he started speaking about 'them' and not me... Yep, you guessed it, froggy silency. Freaking Frogs. They know. They always know. You don't have to yell at them, just talk in a quiet voice like you were speaking to yer dad on the phone. They know. If they wake you up at night, just mutter "I'm gonna kill you, froggy, watch out."

It's okay to test this but don't be surprised like you never heard it before.
They don't react to me typing about them, at least there's that.
