This thread should be a thread were one can discuss about the championship without flaming or whatnot. Too bad that most posts are the way they are.

If this continues I wouldn't care if a mod would lock it.

I don't really think Turkey belongs in the Eurocup tbh. Nothing against the nation, it's just... they ain't really related to anything European.

LOL turkey is NOT europe, historically those guys have been completely different from the rest of Europe, they are no part of the European Union and at euro cup they are using a spot that could be using a real european country.

Well... that place was the main point of western civilization (together with Rome) until the ottoman invasion and i don't think they changed it entirely.

(I'm not european though, i'm just saying).

Rome was the center of the western civilization, constantinople was the EASTERN capital of the roman empire, before the ottoman invasion it had a lot of european influence, after the rise of the ottoman empire constantinople became istanbul and everything changed, especially their ideology (islam lol), the next centuries they were fighting our countries as a jihad.
IMO they are not qualified to be called europeans, thats all.

Constantinople was as much Europe as Rome, in fact Constantinople was more powerful than Rome during the Middle Age that's why it's fall was such a hard hit for the western civilization (the gate to the trade with Asia was in there after all, which helped its influence to grow over the rest of Europe).

Anyway, I just doubt that Turkey doesn't have absolutely no influence of the former Byzantium.

Back to the thread, lol.

Ur lollin without know nothing about history lol.

-Jihad means qonquer other places and make all humanity become muslim its like Crusade shit rite?

Ur talking about Ottoman ideology.
-Ottomans had different role in the history. They never pushed ppl to change their religion. They had never colonist, plunderer and enslavement policy like some european kingdoms.Should i write something about African and American indians? Those incidents were shame for humanity.Research deeply how many european asses Ottomans saved while they r fighting each other.History books will teach u offcourse if ya read.

-There was a massive culture exchange beetween Ottomans and Europe(Especially Balkan countries and Italy). So many ppl worked for empire. In the dark age Europe learned something from Ottomans especially science, medicine and architecture and Ottomans learned more things from them too.

-We r talking football and u still stucked at middle age or religion shit all of them r shits. The only truth is ppl must work together for better world also sports make closer beetween countries, other cultures.

Sry4all i had to answer that guy.
