I think it's funny how so many people feel like some secret is being kept about the whole sun shield thing. I was listening in vent when Cyrusis bought the shield and the next day when they were talking about him having bought 4B gold to get it. It was posted on SRA immediately. It's a dead issue as far as everyone involved is concerned. Asy didn't scam or steal anything.

Despite what Non Ego Man said, the overall outcome here is bad. Some bottards on Venus got 3B for the shield, some gold companies got a lot of cash to continue their operations (unless they were CCFed), friendships were strained or broken, a lot of people not involved decided to get themselves involved, and Asy's name got run through the mud.

No amount of sun outweighs these negatives, but asserting that it should be destroyed is just retarded.

My evaluation is from after the purchase. Yeah, it would have been great if Cyrusis never bought the gold. Even better if the botters never got the drop. But in terms of what to do after Cyrusis bought 4B gold and used it to buy the shield: it's better that he's off the server and Asy has the shield than he's still here with the shield.

i was on this server the moment it opened and i had ZERO ties to avalon aside from the fact that i knew nb fly and f[i]y as well as khaara from xian ( and actually i didnt even know avalon was on the server till i was lvl 20 ish and i found an avalon party partying not far from me)

and there were several others that came with me; so there are those who would have moved anyway

and the reason people say stop saying it's your server because it is Farking annoying when someone acts like their shit don't smell and alot of the people who weren't even around when the war was starting to be fought - those that recently joined or w.e. - are already acting like little princes and as if their shit doesn't smell

we don't say to stop saying that to belittle avalon or deny avalon credit for its accomplishments - we say that because there are those people who are airheads and it goes right to their heads and they start treating everyone not in avalon like shit (AND THEY HAD NO PART whatsoever in what avalon has done) - they are taking credit just because they are wearing a shiny union tag - and THAT is what pisses the rest of us off

See, there is one thing i find wrong about saying that. First of all, Cyrusis completely ripped apart Avalon's rules and set back work on pushing out some of the gold bots by months. Prices in gold rose over 10$ / 100mil, from around 17 to 27. Not to mention, Asy wasn't going to take the shield, but Cyrusis quickly accused Asy of scamming it first chance he got. Now, if I had a "friend" that backstabbed me not once, but twice? I'd drop him in a motherfucking instant.
I personally believe that Cyrusis KNEW he couldn't sell the shield, and decided that since he was kicked from Avalon and blacklisted from parties, that as a parting farewell decided to tarnish Asy's reputation as best he could.

Yes, Avalon made Venus what it is today. If they hadn't of started the movement, alot of people would have never come here.

I came to Venus because BHA was there. I did not know about Avalon. I think it's great what they did, but certain people have a really bad attitude (see point #7 above).

+1 to both ur points. actions speak louder than words . whenever i find a afk bot, i try to kill them by debuffing them and putting the pot delay skill on them, since they nvr attack me back .

but i dont agree wat fly said about "avalon being the only one ever doing the owning part of the bot war." ofcourse avalon does alot of work in killin bots, but they cant say they are the only ones. i know nog used to bot trap alot in angan, aswell as mrs_crossbow.

but since i wasnt in venus since "day one" or even the first 4~5 months, i think i should just stfu.
