Graduation!!!

Post by Doron »

So, this year, this day, I should've gotten my exam results, and I should have graduated...

But...

THOSE MOTHER FUCKERS HAVEN"T CALLED ME YET! :x :x :x :x

I (at home) should've gotten a phone call between 12 and 6 (GMT + 1) And now it's 20 past 6.

I wasn't at home, but...

I thought they would call my mother if I weren't to pick up the phone.

But no. Those motherfuckers didn't call her.

So now I will have to wait untill tomorrow before I can finally hear if I'm graduated or not :x

I hate school.

So, who DID get a phone call or does already know if he/she's graduated yet??

Xmoshe, I believe you heard yesterday?

EDIT: I was just finished typing and I got called!! I've Graduated!!

With one 5 (math) two 7 (Dutch and Health Class) and two 8 (Biology adn Engrish)!!!

It's all ../10, so...

Basically an A translates into a 9/10, a B into a 7/8 etc etc

Obviously that would make a lot of the dutchies look like retards because in America it's not all that hard to get an A.(Not saying it's easy!)
But I believe the American system uses a system where the class, or the school, sets the marks. The best student gets the A, this score is now used as the A mark score.
In Holland there is a set 'A mark score' that doesn't take the students' performance into account.

Also, there are no levels of difficulties in America. In Holland the school is divided into several difficulty levels. It is easier to excel in a system that is made for the average student than a system where the standard is supposed to resemble yourself.(In order of difficuly the dutch school system is divided in: Gymnasium/VWO, HAVO, VMBO, KB, LWOO)

I'm not saying the Dutch system is better or anything (though it has certain advantages) just stating the difference.

btw, Congratz Icealya!

I actually fancy the American system more.

Because in American schools you get placed into the level of smartess you actually have.

If so, I could do my Maths on VMBO level, but my English is good enough for HAVO.

like that.

But hey, the dutch system is awesome too, you know?

Quote in Dutch what the letter says:

Examenuitslag
Kandidaten die (nog) niet geslaagd zijn, worden vóór 15.00 uur gebeld.

Which basically means everyone of my school is stressing out till 15.00 sharp and then gonna party like hell :D

Apparently I graduated, because my classmate already knows she graduated, and she said that if I didn't get a call yet, I would be graduated.

But just to be sure I'll wait till 15.00 and then I'll be happy :D
