Gold bots: An irrelevant opinion

So recently i started a new char on venus ( also looking for legit guild, pm me ). Anyway, there was a huge stream of gold bots in town when i logged on all but 20 minutes ago. So i make my way towards the blacksmith, ready to sell the loot from my monkey after my last grind and i notice quite and interesting expression of opinions going on right next to me. I thought it was worth sharing, so enjoy ^_^

I think you people are hitting on a different point than i am. Here with have the random opinion of two customers. In all reality its not enough to change the actions of a company. But as a company joymax should be aiming to please its customers right?

Currently thats what they are doing. Some people want to buy gold and bot and joymax is simply letting that happen. Yet we have the opinion of the new generation of players who dont like the idea of gold bot being around. Gets you thinking about the irrelevance of the individual customer and the power of money in our modern day society and the corruption which takes place in order to get it...

Lol the reason there was such a stream of gold bots is because there was a bot trap at Jangan. When they die in such a fashion, they create a huge line of bots because they all form the same pattern. Also keep in mind there are going to be a lot of bots in Jangan anyway because after Joymax bans bots, companies create a lot of new ones in Jangan (not so many Euro bots).

go to constaniople then noob. there are a lot of gold bots in jangan because of Jm's bot bans. and Avalon and Bha unions have daily bot traps to stop the botters from going farther than DW. and legit doesnt have to mean 100% free of bots it cant be 100% until Jm does something (i mean like ban goldbuyers, which is hard)

Maybe he wants chinese drops? But it is sort of pointless to grind in jangan nowadays because every server has 20% tax rate there.

grind, put loot in storage, make an euro char, sell loot in constantinople? put money in storage?

For a player that doesnt have premium all the logging off and on wont be pleasant. And to the people who are cheering on the bot traps. You do know that there are legits in jangan and dw that have connection issues when spawning there because of the massive amount of lag created by a trap. If you don't believe me, try to tele to dw during a trap with an average comp. You will dc, period.

How is that fail? In other servers, you don't see as many gold bots in Jangan because many of them are in Donwhang and Hotan. In Venus, the legits are setting all sorts of bot traps, deleveling those gold bots, causing all of the Hotan gold bots to go to Donwhang, and all of the Donwhang bots to go to Jangan after they delevel far enough. The new gold bots that start in Jangan can never get out because the bot traps keep them at bay.

Venus legits can't ban the gold bots, but at least they can keep them from running rampant across the entire map. I think Venus is doing a great job controlling the botters.

So we should just let the gold bots run around unchecked so some legits with slow computers can go out and get KSed constantly by them? I'd rather see the gold bots being taken care of. The less profitable gold botting is for the companies, the more chance they will leave.

Besides, those legits with connection issues can just grind in constantinople and samakrand. It's better than putting up with all the bot activity in China.

The next issue: Getting gold buyers to stop buying gold! Good luck with that one...

I didn't have a problem lvling up at all. Daily bot traps helped me get to where I am, so I dunno why you are complaining. xP

+1 here. I rarely see bots anymore, cause they are all stopped in Jangan/DW. I think yesterday was the first time I saw a bot in a few days and it was a player bot. Lol.

Avalon owns Jangan, simple fix there. Just join Avalon, and no problems. xP

It's great that Jangan has a 20% tax rate. The higher the tax, the more gold we're milking out of the gold bots. The more gold we get from the gold bots through taxes, the less profitable the company is. The less profitable they are, the less they will be likely to stick around.

Take all the gold that the gold bots are *trying* to collect and sell, then they can't actually sell it. We'll get rid of the gold bots one way or another.
