The city promised us a brand new big skatepark since we almost have nowhere to skate here, no good stairs, no good spots, nothing.
Right now its about 7-8 years since I started skateboarding, about 6 years after the park was promised, and they still havnt even begun building it. The plans and the money funded by our own growing skate association , it was all there 6 years ago.
I got bored, skateboarding became expensive. I quit.
I regret it a bit sometimes, I wasnt that bad if I say so myself.
I'm pretty sure if the park was built me and alot of others would've still been skating now. The association had hundreds of members at its highlight.
Skateboarding died out here. The only small spot we had is empty and demolished now.
