Theres a big difference between randomly slaughtering someone for the simple pleasure of it and humanly killing something for the process of survival. My morals draw a distinct parallel between them. One is simply for joy, its not needed. One is to survive, the process of all life. People must eat, creatures must eat in order for their bodies to function. As in life all creatures eat each other, bears eat fish. Snakes eat mice. As a species we eat forms of life that is lower than us on the food chain, that is the nature of reality. As a species with the ability to create thought and understand emotion, we can try to keep the amount of waste food to a minimum and make sure their death is as painless as possible. What would you rather us do?

My household actually does that. Whenever we bake of roast a chicken we will keep the carcass and some meat on it and create a stew out of it. We add in some noodles, potatoes and other vegetables ( we used our own when we still grew them ) and it would create a meal for tomorrow nights dinner.
