our alliance will be centered around the 4 islands of Harios[65:1], Seileios [64:1], Drauos [64:2], and Coennuos [65:2] because between all 4 islands there is only 1 player and it is relatively alone, a perfect place for our alliance to flourish
so if you're planning a colony, try to establish it on one of those 4 (you dont have to move your capital if you dont want to though)

But if you want a marble island, and since the SRF marble island is full, you can build your colony in island Snianaios [63:3].

A person is inactive if you see an (i) on his city. Not really sure how many slingers, I did sent out a spy to my target before I launch my attacks.

Just follow fena's 2nd link and it will help you. I myself followed that guild before.

EDIT: @fena I think the (u) means the player is on vacation mode. Meaning his not mining any resources and no one can attack him.

More population room. Build an academy and barracks first and then get some resources.

It allows you to have more people in your town. If you click on your town, where it tells you how many people you have, it'll say x/y. Y is your total population limit. Expanding your town will increase that.

Research some things. First research well digging then aim for wealth, second wine press, 3rd expansion. After those research what you feel you needed the most. Click the academy in the left side there's a library click that and start reading the researches and try to find out what you needed most.

Slingers suck. Get some sword guys or something better.
And it really depends on the lvl of the town your attacking....liek if it's lvl 5 you won't need much men *most of the time* But if it's lvl 10+ you better bring almost all your men *I recomend leaving 3-5 behind in case someone attacks you while your gone*

Heh, well, the village I just pillaged was Level 1. That's why I don't understand why I lost 4 slingers.
And I'm still in the process of researching Professional Army. So no swordsmen for a tiny bit.

Been afk for a while, old town "Polis" has been renamed "Macedonia" and is growing at a nice slow pace. It'll be full size it 2 or 3 days though, I'll tell you when I get my embassy up.

Guys, a little tip on how to check to see if it would be wise to pillage someone. If you don't have any spies yet, just go to Ikariam and look at the high scores. Instead of total, click on Generals, and then click submit. Then search the person's name.



If your number is higher than the other person's, you should generally be able to overcome him - especially if yours is a lot higher. This gets tricky when you don't know if he has colonies or not, though. His number could be split up through 4-5 or even 15 different colonies, making your job a lot easier. Or then again, it could all be focused at one point.
