whats a gap in the skill points??
sorry i havent played sro in forever i jsut got back into it and was wondering whats a gap in the skill points??
Re: whats a gap in the skill points??
You need a gap to get skill points and skill points are needed to get skills.
To determine your gap, you take your character lvl minus your highest mastery lvl.
9 gap is the highest usefull gap to get sp. And 0 gap ofcourse if you want to lvl fast =]

Re: whats a gap in the skill points??
ok more precise explanation
the gap is the difference between your highest skill mastery level
and your char level
for each point of gap you have you get 10% more skill points up to 190% skill points (9 gap)
You also get less exp for each point of gap you have
So 0 gap fast lvl only 100% skill points
9 gap slow lvl 190% skill points
Oh and you dont have to have a gap to get skill points, but a gap does help you get more skill points. Sometimes you need to get more so you can lvl up certain masteries.

A precise explanation can help to understand more. Not that I'm saying [SW]XMoshe's explanation was bad or anything. You could get confused from 'You need a gap to get skill points...' a new player might think he must have at least a gap to have skill points or something.
People have different view and opinion on explaining things to people. Just don't take it too harsh on you.
