Idiot Alert - Where to install 'directx_9c_redist' ?

So I've downloaded the game, manual patch and directx 9c all from the SRO site.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before.. I did conduct a search but found nothing.

When I run the directx 9c file, it doesn't automatically install like I'm used to; This time I have to specify the directory in which to install. So common sense told me to install it into C:\WINDOWS\system32\DirectX, after I installed it, I ran dxdiag to check the version of DirectX. It said my version of DirectX was still 9.0b.

So my questions are;

Where am I meant to install DirectX?
Is 9.0b sufficient to run SRO?

hahaha, sorry to be mean but your not too bright.

You just extracted the files neccesary to install DX 9.0c to the directory you chose, you have to run the setup file manually after you extract it. And it doesn't ask you to specify a directory in the setup program.
