Bard + Solo Jobbing = nearly impossible?

I have a bard, and I never thought to think about jobbing. With their low HP and lower damage than a wiz, they're somewhat easy picking. Even if you're like a level 50 bard a level 40 pure str could probably take you out. But that's just how I see it. My bard's only level 29, and I don't wanna do any jobs til lvl 30 (probably just going to merch for a while, the trips are fun XD) but I also like hunting. Soooo anyone have any insight on that? All I have are guesses of how it'll turn out so I'm hoping someone can have some experience.


Note: I'm going to be bard/cleric once server comes back up. If that helps since clerics buffs plus bard buffs should make a difference. I'm already sub cleric, but I only raised the revive skill so I can save people lol, but it just barely popped into my head, maybe if I had the buffs I would fair better.

Thanks, and yeah I've seen that guide. But it sheds no light on how someone could Solo hunt or thief. Even merching might be hard, low hp and like 3 thieves attack you lol.

Pure Bard is a support character. U need to work in group. U'll benefit your group with speed and tambours when jobbing. U havent read all in that guide. I did said Bard is a support character.

Your nukes have a low cool down and are faster than wizard/chinese nukes. The time it takes them to crank out one, you'll have put out 3. Your nukes are about the same power as chinese nukes. You can attempt solo, just avoid Giants and Champs.

U can try but i will not recommend it. If we are talking about soloing a multistar trade run, i will not recommend it at all. Yes our nukes is fast but when there's double spawns, u will suffer. Plus, if an invisible rogue thief with xtreme xbow came, u'll be 1 shot.

it's easily doable with a 1* trade. just keep a good distance from your transport and keep your cleric rod/shield up. when the thiefs spawn, quickly cast healing cycle on yourself and switch to bard and kill them fast. i did the same with my wizard/cleric and had no problems doing 1-2* trade runs alone....as long as there is no player thief around that is lol.

but yea if you got some good friends online, make them go with you. i had a good friend be my cleric and we did 3* trade run with no problem

A lvl 40+ bard/cleric will simply have recovery division on himself, so he shouldn't worry too much about healing cycle. Single spawns or even a dual spawn should not be an issue for a bard/cleric. Multi* is more of a problem, but with the spawns from those these days I wouldn't recommend doing those alone anyway. PC thieves will of course be a larger problem, since it isn't exactly a pvp build.

The spawns were nothing, it might've been my +3 SOS Int 4 harp (seen in that guide) but they were easy as pie. However, I'm pretty sure at level 40 solo trading won't be possible. When I was taking pics for that guide, I got killed by invisible thieves right outside of town (forgot I had 2 stars worth of stuff). They didn't take my stuff, but it just goes to show, a bard solo in pvp is just not gonna be a good idea lol. But at levels under 40 its very easy, I did plenty of runs today with no issues at all.

1* under lv 40 solo trading is easy...

you're a bard, use noise, there... no more mobs attacking you
you get go from jang to dh at lv 20 solo because noise goes up to lv 30

the theif spawns are easy to kill too just bring pills and kill the ice theif first
you dont have to tank them, let them attack horse and you can pick them off one by one
then heal horse and move on
