New Alchemy - Can Blue stats be Assimilated??

Let's say you've added Str, Int, Durability, and whatever other blue stats to an item. Now you use another stone...does the assimilation % apply to only the non-blue stats or can the blue stats be randomly reset as well?

I would think blue stats can be assimilated as well...but haven't had that happen yet so was wondering...

Immortal, Steady, and Astral stones are of course excluded from this consideration.
