Max Payne. I loved both games and especially the story. I'm usually not too fond of shooters, but this one had such great story line I was glad to make an exception.
The things that happen to the character and how he deals with it. He doesn't want to, nor chose for it, but he has no choice so he deals with it. Pretty much sums up why he's my favorite game hero.
