I definitely couldn't get away with it, because I tend to sweat buckets when it's hot out or I'm doing physical activities.

In some places water is really really expensive. I remember on a tour in Paris, our parisien tour guide told us (I don't remember the exact number, but something close to) 30-45% of people don't shower daily because of the cost of water.
Other places, like arab countries, also have the same problem. I had two arab guys in my class who told us they're not used to showering daily. They only found out that most of us did when one of them was excited to tell everyone he was allowed to take a bath that night.
edit: oh yeah, OT: I shower atleast once every day. In the Summer I take an extra shower a day if I don't go swimming, for cooling reasons, I take a shower after physical activity, and I always take a shower before or after important CSS matches.
