KOREAN GAMERS
In China I believe a man killed his friend cuz that friend sold a virtual World of Warcraft sword for real money to someone else, the man lend the sword to his friend, his friend sold it and the man killed his friend for a sword....a virtual sword. how stupid can you be-_-

Props to chrisorg for the sig <3

That's why I think that children under 13 shouldn't be given their own computers or they will literally become outcasts and freaks. this is generalising of course, but (sadly) true...
well youre stupid because in asia its not like the west its hard to get jobs and shit some people do mmos to make money and some just to kill times cuz they have miserable lives
First of all you are the stupid and pathetic one for not understanding the basic concept of "personal opinion".
Secondly, they have miserable lives by chioce. They have money to spend on stupid games? They have time to play them? So they have chosen to rot in their rooms instead of finding a job or learning for example.
I'm reading this whole thread, and I'm surprised it hasn't been closed yet.
Theres many, many people who have this problem with MMORPGs and online games. You can't just point your finger at Korean Gamers and say "lol zomg! thar so stupidz lol!". Just about everyone who plays online games knows how addicting it can be at times. Maybe they don't have anything else to do, or maybe they don't get support from family and friends.
You guys shouldn't be talking about others like this. Its stupid.

dude stfu.. Get your facts straight and don't offend anyone.
Average Canadians/Americans spend about 16+ hrs/ week on copmuter.. Koreans spend about 13+ hrs/week on average.. Who has no private lives? Just because Korea is most wired country in the world.. -_-;
Koreans are just hardcore at everything they do, because it is so much harder to survive there. Plus, there is actually a gaming life which is sort of like sport in Korea. Top player earns 500k USD salary. For MMORPG, you can actually earn lots of money if you are smart enough. Once they start a game they stick to it and dedicate their time to it to be the best instead of playing 10 different kinds of games, playing video games like halo or spending time on these game forums.
I believe there are alot of free games so you don't necessarily have to pay. There are games they know they can make money out of which is worth paying for. They have time it's just very hard to get a job. Plus, you should know that Asians are hard workers (school) if you ever known them in real life.

btw a dude in malaysia bought a car ( Lancer Evolution ) by making money out of games
drey7000 r u implying programmers? thy spend their time in front of computers n thts a real job man.... and if playing games can buy u a car (and not a tin bucket with 4 wheels either), wth u need a 'real job' with all tht working stress bullshit
games are not just for entertainment nowadays.... smart ppl r getting into the business side of the industry not just developers/producers but players too
there was an article somewhere sayin the gaming industry might just surpass the music and movie industry in the near future
professional gaming will get recognize as a 'job' eventually IMO

they said they farmed like 100k sp in a week or so.
not possible. even with bot and gold ticket not possible. i tried with 4 friends once. we farmed exactly 24 hours at lvl 16, lvl 16 +1 sos bow, no gold ticket, no break. we farmed about 2,5k sp (and hell we know how and where to farm). you get 1 sp (not sp point, it's real sp) for about 3 mobs.
Well, I dunno. Currently I'm farming with a 5 level gap at (M)Ugiji, and I'm getting a little bit less than 1SP (real SP) - with A gold ticket. I think I would get 2 SP with a gap 9 (max gap you can use)
This makes your 2.5k SP in 24hour become 15k SP in 24 hours => 105kSP in 7 days. Very difficult and most probably impossible, but in theory correct
