I downloaded the client and I'll try it out next Sunday or Monday.
Are there any good guides?
I'm looking for a mage class (race doesn't matter) who focusses on dealing damage and preferably no support, though I could cope with minor support.
Some sort of
newbie guide though nothing about race and classes were mentioned.
Human side:
Sorcerer - damage dealer
GuideEnchanter - debuff + slight damage dealer + slight buffing
GuideAkkan side:
Rune officiator - debuff + damage dealer (extremely low defence compared to human mage classes as they can't wield a shield but has Response Intensified.
GuideThose so called class guides are more like build discussion threads, so you are introduced to various builds that the specific class has. I would say not to worry much about builds because both stats and skills can be altered at will and it's not hard to restart a new character if you want to try a different class. What I think most important first is to get on the game and get used to the system.
If you have any questions regarding the basics of this game, feel free to ask considered I've played this game for years, or you could post at Torment forums.
Just wanted to add that melee classes normal attacks/slashes are AOE as well, which I think is frigging amazing. I'll add a screenshot of that later.
Spoiler for melee AOE attacks, up to 5 targets.
