My dad was in Beijing working in some office building, and it started shaking so everyone had to run outside. They went back working during the night though

This is the distraction that Burma officials wanted, but then again, I doubt too many countries will rush to send aid to China.

well in response to that, i know someone will say that these kind of things keep on happening and why are we bla bla bla now, which is true. but my stance on it is, if u have nothing "fitting" (idk how to say this =/) the situation, then dont say anything at all.

May, month of problems?

1. Burma, @ topic starter, this was an hurricane, not an earthquake
2. China
3. Half of the Netherlands is burning (University of Delft, Plastics fabric, and 3 fire brigade crew members died while fighting a fire on a shipyard.
4. I'm sure bad things happened in other countries too...

Bad things happen everyday.
Scale and attention just differ.

Luckily the opposite is equally true.

All I got to say to that is WOW.

But yeh this is aweful, death tool is apparantly around 50k. :( Was watching this earlier on Sky news and they where showing clips of children getting rescued. Wish them all the best.
