warrior protected wizard died...NO EXP LOST ?!

I (warrior) was grinding with my wizard friend. I gave him two buffs:
Pain Quota
Pyhsical Fence
He died and said "I haven't lost any EXP"

Is it really possible?

If you die from Quota or Fence damage, you won't lose any exp.

+1 to what cherri said, the last bit of hp lost has to be yellow numbers though. If the wizard has fence + quota but dies to a monster hitting him then he's going to lose exp,

on a side note.
according to corrupt he loses 50% every time he dies lamer.
