Leveling Faster?
Which one do you guys think is fastest way to level as far as either doing quest or not doing quest goes?
Starting from lvl 1 when creating a new char, would it be better to just go outside and start killing and not take any quest until the chakji quest?
Or would it be faster if you did quest all the way?
Not sure which one is faster. I'm thinking that when a new server comes out, Ill just level up to lvl 20 without doing quest and then do the chakji quest at like lvl 21 or something. Then start doing quest from there. So just not do the quest in Jangan until later on.

clearly with quests since you do quests along with grind so it adds up together

Re: Leveling Faster?
Ye, its what I thought. Though some people said its faster without doing quest since you can kill any monster you choose and don't have to run back to town to get reward, just keep killing to u run out of stock.
Im just talking about getting to lvl 20 btw, not getting to lvl 80. It would be harder to get to 80 without quest than with quest.

^Thats why you do like 2-3 at the same time.
You only have to go back once to town.

Re: Leveling Faster?
I totally depends on what gear you have. If you have a lvl 1 SoS bow, a lvl 5+5, lvl 8 SoS and so on, it'll be much faster just to grind on the highest lvl mob you can kill easily.

Re: Leveling Faster?
Some of the quests are a complete waste of time, but others are worth it. I'd say just do the quests, but keep in mind the reward... if it's not worth the hassle, just grind on something that gives you the best XP per minute. A lot of people think you should grind high lvl mobs for higher xp, but take into consideration the amount of XP you are earning over time... not just per each kill.
Also, if at all possible, get into organized share parties and grind on party mobs. You can't beat it.

Re: Leveling Faster?
Doing quests is easier because the rewards help you alot, but it's faster to not do quests (if you have good gear, on a new server, I'm not sure).
Do the first quest though for the armor, I dunno... Some are worth it, others not so much. But whenever I make a new character, I do all the quests up until level 20, and then I skip some because I have too many.

Re: Leveling Faster?
I think the fastest way to lvl 1-20 is to do certain quests...like for instance at lvl 8-11 you might be at the Yeowah *sp?* trees and there's like 2 or 3 quests you can do with them so it's like a 2 for 1 deal. You'd be grinding there anyways and as a bonus you get some fairly decent/easy quests

Ye though some quest are not worth it, like the purification thing from the same place where you get the yeoha quest.
But yes, I do like 3-4 quest at a time, get all the quest I can get and then do the ones I can do, it makes it faster.
Then again, some quest are just not worth it.
Like the stupid quest near chin tomb where you have to kill lots of ghost thingy and collect 8 different stuff. That was a hassle but there are better places to kill them near the fortress war.

Re: Leveling Faster?
hmm when i started over in Hera when it first came out..i did 0 quests until the Niya Generals one lol (and of course the inventory expansion one).
the only thing good about doing quests is, imo: the money, exp (not that much...probably will grind faster), and some perks (like doing ivy quest for zerk scrolls)
btw...some quests you should skip if the monster is below your lvl..i was usually killing quest mobs 2 lvls below me..just a waste of time.

Does that update automatically?

That only works for lower lvls. You need toi make multiple trips for the higher quests just to do one. Unless you buy repair hammers and 2k pot.
