GS online says there's a pre-launch play period for 3 days for $5. Cool but I'm guessing it's still better to do it through the store b/c I doubt it'll let me keep playing w/out a cd key even though I've purchased the game.

Nah, the headstart will allow u to play 3 days before launch, but, you gotta download the full game within those 3 days and then you can play lol. dunno how it will work but im sure you can easily hop to your original account.

With your pre-order Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, you will be able to participate in the 3-day Early Access Program. Early access period starts on May 17, 3 days before the commercial release on May 20, 2008. You may begin downloading the game client files and installing as early as May 14. With early access, there is a nominal fee of $5, which covers the cost of the download and includes 10 days of additional game time.

Anyway, about the 3 day head start, you can start downloading on the 15th, meaning it will be done around the 16th/17th, and u can start playing on the 17th. Launch in the US at 20th, and in Europe at 23rd of may. Can't wait.

Yeah i watched those a bit earlier.

As of now, i still can't believe this game excists. Honestly, this game is BUILT for me.

Crafting, collecting materials, building a city and expanding it over weeks and weeks of time, PvP, the atmosphere this game brings is simply a 11 out of 10. End game raiding, Questing. Etc.

I wish i could put myself in a coma untill this thursday, lol.

Edit: FOR **** SAKES!!! I go to enter my beta code and it gives me an Error that it's not valid or taken. I can handle that, but this is the second Farking game I pre-ordered that's code didn't work. I have the same problem with Warhammer, and I still haven't had the problem solved. So pissed.

Good to know. I can understand some slight initial frustration, but fact is it's not a big deal and they use/d that key field for lots of things.

You said it was a 20gig or something game early in topic right? (cbf to go back and read). How many discs is the game on? If it's DVD, it still must have 2 or 3 discs... Unless they're the **** type game that makes you install part of it via disc, and patch the rest of it through internet.

I think it's 20 GB installation, because the PvP beta was over 6 GB then you had to patch even after that. So I wouldn't doubt it if it is 20 GBs.

The next beta that's coming up is 13GB and the cap is 13.
As for the discs that's anyone's guess. Most companies don't practice missing content of discs anymore to the best of my knowledge. Your going to have the usual patches though, even WoW was rocky out of the gate.
I hope through the early access option they let us keep our FPbeta d/l and just use the patcher to update. I REALLY don't feel like doing all that d/ling again. *pouts*

Lol bro, prepare yourself then because the FP beta can't be patched to release game and ur gonna have to download the release game (around 20gb, 30 when installed) from FP if u want early access^^. + It costs around 5$ .

Oh and yeah the key registration for mammoth etc hasn't started yet, simply bcos u can't register a game account yet

It's definitely disappointing but the real bs is they announced this minutes before it was about to start. They had to know they were going to do this yet they decided to be dicks and not let people know ahead of time. I hope this kind of service isn't rampant with the actual game.
