As you might have noticed a few things happend within the last few days; some members were banned, others turned themselves in as botters and some even abused the rights as a mod that had been given to him.
Now we all know "LAB" is kind of the antagonist of SRF, they are anti-avalon, anti-SG, anti-anyone that disagrees with them.
What I am asking here and now is for those who do not wish to see those members around anymore to completely ignore them. If you don't visit their forums, if you don't talk about them here, if you just pretend they were never part of our community, they will eventually disappear for good, and LAB would no longer be linked to SRF, other members won't be able to find links to such site, etc.
They will make new accounts, they will rant on you all and they will try to advertise their website, but they will also be banned shortly after due to account remaking, and depending on what they posted, besides from their threads being locked, the posts might be deleted, AFAIK.

For those saying SRF will now die due to the lack of people, look at the odds:

LAB stats: 91 topics / 1133 posts / 84 members

SRF stats: 69078 topics/ 928527 posts / members 16181

Not even 2 months ago we had around 13.5k members. We have new people joining us daily, most of that people are looking for a friendly community, a community like SRF.
More and more people will soon join OTL as we don't have silly people bashing newer members out of the blue.

We have a very competent mod team, if you don't believe me ask Manowar deleting post after post for one and a half long hours, posts made by a person that has nothing better to do but to attempt (and fail) to somehow 'destroy' SRF by posting nonsense.
That very same mod team will also spot remade accounts almost instantly, so we'll have no problem getting rid of them as long as this is the last time we ever speak about that people.

What I am trying to say is, if we don't want to have little obstacles in our way to a happy community, we should not be related to that forum at all.
The odds are against them and soon the forum will die, slowly but painfully and those members will be anonymously roaming SRF with their proxy servers.

And to those new members that are anything like the people mentioned above: Go away, this isn't a fairy tale nor a RPG cards game, we do not need nor want trolls in here.

Keep this thread flame-free as it's not meant to be flamebait but a reminder, and please don't bash those banned members in here, they already got punished, let's show them we're not at their low level.

Read through the long thread on the site and it was pretty amazing. Not in a good way. More in a 2-Girls-1-Cup way. I'm not sure you need to tell anyone who has been there not to go back. At the end of the day, that forum just proves they should have been out of SRF a long time ago.

I registered on their forums (and as usual coming from me, i try to avoid that drama shit going on there), and of course i disagree with a lot of things they post there, but at the same time i like the idea of dildogoblin and agent to make their own forum, and post about whatever they want to.

I love my srf! But you're doing here (talking about them) exactly what they're doing there in their own forum (talking about us and srf and etc etc).
If that forum is going to eventually die, then let it die, and just dont give a cookie about it, but posting about it gives me the idea that you care about what they do/say.

If some1 just wants to read and find on his/her own what's popping there, then i recommend those guys to go there and read, but posting here WHAT's going on there, i find it useless.

I'm not going to close the topic, but this mentality is the same thing that caused troubles in the first place. If you're zealous about proving how they're obstacles, you're acting just as badly as they are. There's another forum on the internet, like many, and some ex- and current SRFers post there - big deal. Let's let them have their grown up club where they can act like kids and leave it at that.

I personally never had a problem with the LAB forum, I could care less about it. What disappoints me is that these members that are trying to get away from SRF, because it's such a horrible place full of no-lifers, won't leave.

I realize not everyone there is polarized and getting a kick out of starting an e-fight, there's most definately moderates that couldn't care less about us and wouldn't waste their time trying to prove it (note: irony).

The group of e-thugs that come on here to prove how much better they are than the apparent "no-lifers" that wouldn't bother with wasting hours of their time doing mildy-annoying damage are not different than the bunch of kids that walk the streets at night stealing solar-lamps from gardens and egging houses; they are just that, kids - and their inherent short attention span will stop them from acting like fucktards and eventually they will have their egos boosted high enough to say that they have lives, and will get on with them.

Keeping an ego inflated takes a lot of work. Whether it's flaming members for no reason or wasting hours making threads that can be deleted in two button clicks, some people just aren't grown up enough to fill that need like normal people.

The strange thing is that the only thing i'm left with is disappointment. I'm not really mad, or frustrated. I've been posting here for a long time and have gotten to know, well atleast become familiar with, all those members. Before I was a mod I used to be hard headed, opinionated, and not afraid to flame people because they were idiots. I've walked the line of being banned many times, but I always had my limits. Limits that made me different than the other kids that would come on here and flame just because they got a kick out of insulting people.

I'm not pro-bot, or anti-bot; i'm pro-rules and I uphold what I promised I would when I applied to become a mod. When a user is banned I don't have a dark spot in my heart where I stick a picture of them, moderating is an impersonal job. The reason i'm disappointed in these people is because I thought they were people with lives, who ultimately made decisions for personal reasons that I would never understand - I respected that but knew that a banned was required, and pushed for all of them. After seing what they've done, my mental picture of them has changed. They're not people with lives anymore, they're kids that need their daily fix of e-toughness because they haven't quite grown up yet. I thought they were better than that.

There is one thing that I find funny. They hate avalon, an elitist and arrogant group among other things - so it would seem. In one night they far surpassed them, the people they absolutely hate, proving who the assholes really are. If they were right about avalon, it would seem they should get to know them, they would make for best friends. And the same could be said about the users here that get a kick out of flaming LAB members.
