[Guide] PK2 Edit - Ghost Spear Mars

Some of you may remember, before European (Legend I) came out, there was a different emotion for Ghost Spear Mars (GSM). It seemed slower, but looked far more powerful.

This guide will teach you how to make it look like the old one.

Note This guide is color coded. =]



1. Open HexEdit121 & data.pk2

2. Click on 'Search' from the drop down menus on the top of the program, from there click 'Replace'

3. A pop-up should come up. Select ANSI String as Data Type

4. In the section 'Find' Copy/paste, or type - skill_ch_spear_roundarea_a.ban

5. In the 'Replace' section copy/paste, or type - skill_ch_spear_roundarea_c.ban

6. After you've done that click the 'Replace all' and give it a minute to replace

7. Soon after, you will get a message saying 'Cannot find anymore data' click 'OK' then save the PK2.

8. Log into the game and try it out.

NOTE You will notice timing is a bit weird. This is normal, because the skill itself is different emotion.

does this work with the Soul spear soul? cuz the soul spear soul changed as hell animation wise as i can see but if u notice the attack before hte update and after the update theres a difference have u tested this method to see if it works?

It should have worked. Hmm, It for one worked for myself, and I wrote the steps as I did it =p.

Can you tell me where abouts you think it stuffed up, or what was the problem, or was there an error pop-up?

I could login as usually. no crashes or something. but the animation doesn't change.
are you sure all steps has been written? or do I have to open media.pk or data.pk before i replace?

EDIT: And uhmmm as what do I have to save it? as media.pk or something?

it would make more sense if he said open data.pk2 with hexedit, i was confused.

Well, I using my own guide, made this pk2 edit adjusting the Ghost Spear Mars emotion. For all the skills in that series Price etc, should look like that, however they still have their dedicated colours.
