There's plenty of threads that have answered this -.- Just search.
And to answer it, honestly hybrid is the way to go. Pure int warlocks are pretty sucky from what I've seen so far.

I can see how some ppl would think hyb is the way to go for a war/cler if you're going to be full time party support but I think it's still best to go pure int.

I think the few points you'd have to str wouldn't be enough to save you vs pure int at higher levels, so why bother. If you're in a desperate position, you're screwed one way or the other... may as well have a pure char for more dmg.

Either way once you go hyb you can't go back, so if you are not 100% sure hyb is the way to go, stay pure until you're high lvl... because you have LOTS OF TIME to decide.

European chars are either full int or full str, they are not made to be hybrid.
Go full int to get a good european warlock/cleric

this is advice coming from a pro warlock...

guys the whole point of being a warlock is survive the ordeal of getting wacked while u debuff ur opponent until u can deliver the final blow. going full int defeats the whole purpose of being a warlock since u can get 1 hit whereas hybrid has more survivability...and anyone who's played high lvl warlocks knows --> if the battle gets drawn out, you are more likely to win.

I'm Pure Int. Even with crappy +2 gear, I don't get one hit or 2 hit. I have 2 life leech skills, 2 stuns, and Recovery Division. Recovery Division heals me to max hp every few secs. I see no problem.

In my opinion, the longer the battle last in 1v1, the less likely your chances are of winning. Debuffs and DoT only last about 12 secs I believe, and it becomes a real hassle to recast them during the middle of a fight. More often than not, your debuffs will wear off at the worst moment...

Warlock depends more on how you play your char and not your build. It doesn't really matter if you go Hybrid or Pure Int. If you know how to use your skills effectively, you're going to win regardless if you're Pure Int or Hybrid. Warlock is probably one of the few builds in SRO that requires real skill...

Full sun Warlock/Cleric > any full sun build in SRO.

I agree 110% about warlock being dependent on how you play the character. That's the first and most important rule, EVER. Anyways to be honest, the fights 1 vs 1 as a hybrid do not last as long at all as people might say. Even as hybrid as I went (below 85% phy)I manage to be able to kill full farm people of my level efficiently. I only have a +3 set and my cleric mastery is 70 with 50 skills, and my warlock is still unfarmed (25k more sp to go). The kill before debuff thing isn't much of a hassle at all anyways, specially when it takes 1 second to cast upon with disease. Besides, they fall before the debuffs fall off anyways. It's all about a balance between magic damage, absolute, and cleric skills that only takes a truely skilled person to be able to master. That's why hybrid has done me much fortune o_o

Tbh Realest, if you were to grind up for the 90 cap on your warlock, I would recommend adding strength in those levels. You will benefit much more than you will sacrifice. It's pretty sad to see someone giving another person impotent and still dying from a crit. That goes against it's purpose lol.

I know a wizard/warlock in alex, he is hybrid int, while he is using warlock skills can be pretty hard to kill, once you are stunned and debuffed he change to wiz and finish you. If you are a warlock it can be good if you add some str to your build. Anyway, im not really sure about this, im not an expert with int builds.
