That's what it was and here's an example of a typical post under that policy:
"You legits are just a bunch of whiny-ass bitches. Botters have lives and girlfriends and they like to go to parties and don't just sit in their parents basement all day playing computer games and popping zits. You're just jealous because they're better than you. By the way, I don't bot."
Yeah, SRF was really Farking awesome under that policy.
lol. soooo true.

You wanna talk about what things "used to be like" then you gotta go back further than a few months ago. When most of us who joined in '05 were playing, botters were pariahs. It wasnt a small group of us who hated them, it was EVERYONE and they were a small group. More and more ppl started botting and in order to keep the conflict down, ppl started saying "Lets just pretend its not happening."
That obviously didnt work. Xian and several other servers died in that time. Legits were quitting right and left and SRO WAS DYING. Some of us still love it and want to save it. Its like recycling. Sure, you are doing a small thing, but small things add up. When many ppl do small things, they become big things. Next thing you know, you have social movements and change happening. It had to start somewhere.
Botting is a disease and some of you would have us lay down and die instead of fighting it. Have some respect for what SRF is trying to do. It has not been unsuccessful. It shows the legit community that YES, someone still respects you for doing what is right.

Jstar1 wrote:I said before that this "war on bots" is a misnomer. It does nothing to the bot population in SRO at all. Its simply a way to feel better about ourselves because most of us dont bot and SRF's way to show that it hates bots. So chill, I doubt the mods intended this in an attempt to discourage people from botting in SRO, they won't stop, you can't stop them. This is just a way to show SRF's position toward bots.
And you can't simply blame that someone is a loser and has no life by botting, but the real problem is Joymax itself. I doubt sylhana or luoma are actual losers in real life. People have fallen onto botting because Joymax is f*cking incompetant at anything. They just want money.
How many people do you think here has the time and money to hindgrind to the cap? Its nearly impossible, its overwhelming, and you feel like you are in an endless desert. When I used to play, at lvl 38, killing a mob would increase my lvl percentage 0.05%. Do you know how discouraging that is? I'm glad that I never spent money on a piece of shit that they call a game and I pity the people that spend loads and loads of money just to level up in a game that is getting worse and worse.
People will resort to botting. It is very ideal, what better way could you enjoy the game without having to spend money or time? Needless to say, it attracts many people, and you can't just blame them for doing that. The game is so bad and such a time and money sucker that botting is the only solution for them to enjoy the game. Even worse, Joymax makes the game so that you can only enjoy the game at a higher lvl. You have to blame joymax as well because they ruined this game and are preventing people from enjoying the game by handgrinding. Don't just think all the people here that bot are stupid people in real life, most of them probably aren't. Just think about it and you'll realize that joymax is a huge problem here.

Except people who choose to play the game, ie legits, ie the people that SRF wishes to cater.
