Assign Peter's money with x, and Paul's money with y.
x = 5*y - that means Peter has five times more money than Paul.
x - 28 = y + 28 (peter has 28$ less, and paul has 28$ more than at the start. Now, the values are equal)
Substitute x for 5y:
5*y - 28 = y + 28. Consequently, 4*y = 56 and y = 14. Therefore, x = 5*14 = 70.

Better question yet:
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked. If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked? Anywho, you're not going to learn until you do your OWN homework. I'm sorry if I anger you. Haven't you ever watched

I'm 9th grade, and I know a great deal about functions (monotony, convex/concave functions, continuity) and a little bit of calculus (particularly derivatives) as well. The teaching system must be different in my country, probably.
Anyway, I just love math

Ouch.
Well, here is a site, with some help from some of the books from my home state. Just pick what you're currently learning, a specific chapter, and wham. I hope it helps.
http://www.classzone.com/cz/find_book.h ... &x=27&y=10 Its just a couple of practice problems...but, hey.

Great site. Looks awesome, but I haven't had a chance to study it in detail. Anyway, the layout looks interesting.
Glad to have been helpful, by the way.

lol, I im in A-1, and ppl think I'm stupid, but considering my level of math, going beyond college material due to online help sessions for my programming and 3d modeling, Math is next to my life nowadays writing Algorithmic Programs to help my classmates with the algebra and such, even calc questions, its time consuming but I find math much easier than pondering about grammar, because math will ALWAYS HAVE AND ABSOLUTE ANSWER even if it has an infinite range, its still and absolute answer.
