All 15k members are contributing helpful tips, guides, tutorials, answers, to everyone. All 15k members are botting and multi-clienting 20 characters, buying gold, no-DC, invis/stealth hack.

Oh my, whatever shall we do?

though i understand the mods wishes to have a bot free forum, and you cant satisfy everyone. i find that the purpose of having a silk road forum is to discuss about silkroad. ideas, strategies, builds etc. so to ban helpful members i find sort of destroys the forum more than closet botters. but thats my view.

You seem to have a strong position about this. Can I ask.. WHAT THE **** have you dane for this community that is so great, to decide that Good people or mods should be banned.

Do you even know who Deacon is you goddamn hypocrite. :banghead:

I can't decide anything, just like you can't moron. I am just stating rules of forum, which there are, no matter what has person done he will be banned if caught botting.

And I don't give a shit who is Deacon. If some one will get exposed he will get banned, easy as that. If he won't, because of few crybabies like Lockstar whos heart is breaking cause people get banned or whatever, then all this war on bots is bullshit.

And I did not say Deacon is botting and should get banned in last part, I said about bottters in general. So I put this that even some one like Lockstar can understand, if your friends are botters and some one manage to expose them, then prepare for crying more, cause your friends also will be leaving, and not you, not me can do shit about that. but you will see more and more people banned.

it's all about hypocrisy.

people screaming for massive bot ban on SRF, but when it begins to hurt, they're like: ''Actually botting isn't that bad, they contributed a lot to this forum.''
''When I die, make sure they bury me upside down, so that the world can kiss my ass.''

I'll tell you who, everyone and anyone who has ever borne the forum rank of "Regular User"

Thats right, it was all because the users kept complaining to the Staff that there were too many bots, that so and so is a botter, but we just let him/her go on like nothing.

So we decided to listen to your pleads and comments, we listen to your criticisms and complaints and we did something about it.....

I couldn't have said it better myself. Some people just can't be happy no matter what the mod team does.

Good people, especially mods, should be banned - after enough research to ensure it's not just a false report - if they are caught botting. Why? Those people should know better. They should know what the rules are and that botting isn't acceptable.

+1

Another reason is the position of mods. Mods are the role-models of every board. If the community allows a mod (a role-model) to bot, the members would perceive botting to be acceptable. The end result: everyone's going to start botting.

Kmon guys its an INTERNET GAME FORUM.
If you really miss these people get msn or something.
If someone gets caught botting, well shame on them.
If your going around pretending to be a spy taking together pictures viewing other forums, taking suspects, gathering intel, monitoring bot areas, well shame on you.
This is a legit game, *family friendly* forum, don't like it get the feck out :D

Of course people have minds of their own. People won't necessarily start botting just because they see SRF mods, especially the more popular/visible ones, botting. However, if for example cin, Key-J, SuicideGrl started botting, what kind of message would that send to the SRF community?

What kind of message would it send if, even though they start botting, they are allowed to remain members of these forums, the forums that they have worked hard at making into, and maintaining as legit forums. The mods are supposed to be role models. They are supposed to stand for what is right, and enforce it in others as well. Their botting shouldn't be allowed to slide just because they have done such a wonderful job being mods and helping the community through all this time. Rules are rules.

there should be no exceptions who get banned, the choice is yours if you want to be a part of this witch hunt or not.

Isnt it ironic that the ppl you mention all quit playing because of bots in the game or an inability to log in which is cause by bots in the game.

And if your problem is quality topics, why dont you start at home and start making topics that are interesting and discussion worthy?

played daily with hellsharpt, kurohagne and hakufudomine, and yea as NB said they moved to WoW or other games because they couldnt take the bots and got bored of dealing with them. They all enjoyed it in the days when seeing a bot wasnt as common as seeing a Penon on the Ice. At least on Venus there is something to look forward when you get in past the traffic, and can find a spot to grind past the botters. Only reason I play :)
