Caution, long story

Story: well when i started this game, i wanted to be the richest trader on the silk road online. it was my dream, yep i wanted to be a trader. i started in early 80 cap and once i hit 20 put on a trader costume, and omg the moment i got to the ferries i was pwned by a bunch of green sea monsters (chakjis). i lost a lot of money and was like ah fck, later i would join a great guild. they helped me do several trades and we were quite succesful... then it started. more and more players started popping, BACKSTORY ON POPPING: <before europe update player thieves spwned NPC thieves and would get on a transport and follow a random 1 star trader until he (the thief) spawned thieves, the NPC thieves would kill the trader and the goods, then start killing innocent bystanders. back then you could do all jobs, without a 7 day waiting period... hell there was no "real" waiting period. There were no aliases, and trading was hard as hell.> So i became a "pro" at pre-euro trading, avoiding all thieves (it took a hell of a long time to become good enough to dodge the higher level player thieves, i made so many maps.) So i started getting courageous and was always doing 2 star (one star was no more fun as i outwitted the poppers, who hated searching and only camped one ferry). Two stars were hard as **** but felt so good when i completed them, because any bystander above 20 could instantly become a thief and try to kill me. eventually two star wasn't exciting enough. I started hireing hunters in order to do 3 star+. Here is where the drastic change comes in. THE MAJORITY OF HUNTERS WERE CORRUPT and would change into a thief after crossing the ferry and kill me. Then hunters started helping thieves, and normal people started scouting for thieves hunters and thieves working together? MADNESS! my rage grew and grew and grew, until finally i couldn't take the corruption any longer. I bought a thief suit (for the first time) and because of my vast knowledge of the trade routes easily outwitting my popping "comrades" I would scout on a horse watch the number of thief spawns, and if 2 thieves spawned more than once consecutively it was a guaranteed 2 star. popping felt scummy. Ever since then I have always been a thief until Europe came... Then fun and fear that came with putting on a thief suit was kinda gone. Before europe everyone was an enemy, everyone a possible hunter or trader, everyone could kill me it was exciting . Then Europe came with its topsy turvey restrictions. >.> only good thing about legend 1 are the Europeans.

My motto was simple: "Trust No-one, Take from everyone"
After Legend one i became a hunter, cause i kinda had no other choice
New motto was: "Honor before Glory; courteous as always"

Soon i'll be back to stealing and have already made a finishing line or motto to steal by: "Honor before Glory; Death before Retreat, show no quarter to the fodder!"

Story: When I first started before 70 cap, me and a couple friends were jumping around from mmo to mmo and we came across Silkroad. We were all grinding and we all hit around 20ish me and the first guy that started being the highest around 28. We were poor and noticed silk items being sold for gold in game. We wanted to do massive trade runs to get gold and did that, just so happens we ended up getting owned by high level thiefs aka NetBotters from Athens. After that we just did 1* trades but still were getting owned by poppers. This forced everyone to hate thieving and we were all hunters/traders from now on.

I do want to try thieving but not until I reach cap and probably will only thief against rival guilds. Thanks for reading!

First day I saw thief suit all I wanna be is thief and in evry other game I was on "good" side so why not try to be bad guy once, and so I was .
Never really tried to be hunter, few times before update I was trader.

I used to switch according to my playmate's job. If she was a thief I'd be a thief, if she was a trader I'd be a hunter and if she was a hunter I'd be a trader. We would switch every once in a while just to rotate and not get too bored of certain job.
Then more and more people from our guild joined us in that idea and we'd rotate every 3-4 weeks.
Of course some of them would also carry another job item in their inventory (before the 10 mins cool-down and town only shit)

I dislike how people would change jobs before, right now its almost more exicting to job, because from the moment you step out of the gate you are a target. too many jobbing stories, but i remember my first successefull mutli star as a trader, my first solo 5 star as a hunter (lvl 40 at the time, we even had a 60 + theif ride past us on a horse and ignored us, i dont' think he saw me, and i'm sure as hell he wasn't around when we had a spawn, he probally saw the low lvl mercant figuring it was a 1 star), and my first soloed 5 star as a theif.

My first multi star trade was actually the weekend after euro came out, i was a cleric now in Hurricane Toric was my hunter he was a warrior, i was 24 he was 23, omg it was so intense we had a 3 star. That was the first time i had seen a punisher or closier, and first time i saw a kokoru or petrion. We were going so slow we had party spawns of everything it was hard core, it was so exciting not knowing weither a theif was up ahead or not.

My first multi star trade as a hunter. Oh how fun that was, yes i had theives our camel died, i died, the trader died, but some crafy distraction let the trader come back, and let us resume our trade.

First 5 star theif run i was on venus when she was new, i was on FuriousNinja at the time a 1 hander, some noob trader took 5 stars solo, and of course died near the gate, i grabed half of it teleported came back and the other half was still there.

I don't get why people blame the new job system to the decline in jobbing, too pussy to step out side being a target the whole time? Thats what makes it exciting. I blame the decline in jobbing mostly to gold bots and plvling, why earn gold when you can just plvl and make alot more, or just buy gold, or just plvl a new charector while making gold on others joining party. I played on csro to see, and for as few people were there there was hella of alot trading going on

Used to get picked on a lot as a lower level when I was scraping by for gold. So did my guildmates. When we began capping, we decided it was time to repay some old favors. Nothin like helpin a noob out once in a while. We were all there once. Thieves are cool. They're just trying to make money too. But someones gotta slow em down.

personally I think the whole triangular conflict has died since the euro update, it used to be fun when there was dozens or traders out and 1 star poping was still around.

Why?
I want to end the endless pain of all the traders who r lvl 40- that get MURDERD by the f*cking lvl 80's
All thiefs on Eldorado are BIG noobs, only fight together and get owned by 1 hunter
So i say to all thiefs out there, if you feel like thieving, make sure you don't get pwnd when you try to get stuff from innocent noobs
To thiefs on Eldorado, YOU'LL S*CK, sun noobs, you still get owned even with euro buffs
I'm lvl 80 gap 9 and i own all sun noob thiefs, get a f*cking life losers

i personally liked thieves before euro update. i didnt like 1 star popping, but loved seeing noob traders go by and thinking easy money. first successful 2 star thief run was at lvl 34.

story:so im doing some hmwk while standing around ina thief suit, using a low lvl buff...for obvious reasons...a trader runs by scared at first, then seeing im not moving, comes back to make those action gestures and shout noob. i see whats going on so i bring down my keyboard, click him and spam my attacks. after 4 attacks he realized what was going on and tries to run. too late 6th hit, crit and he dies. turns out he was doing 2 star, so i run into trees with my horse and bandit den return scroll. he insta returns, and sees the back of my camel, and kills it. but i killed him again and made the trade. so scared cuz npc thieves almost killed me.

after euro, still liked thieves, but prefer trader.

story: while thieveing i bring with me some low lvl sos. so i see a 1 star trader and now that 1 star popping isnt possible, i wait a few min and when i think his thieves were about to spawn, i spammed exchange. i slowly one by one put the sos items in to the trade box. hes so busy looking at them and spammin accept, he doesnt realize his horse got killed by npc thieves, so i close window and kill him. take his loot and run XD
