What's it taste like? o.O
OT: I've had both in the past. Don't like hamsters because they bite! >=[ And Guinea Pigs are kinda boring.
That's why I have a ferret now!

Re: Guinna Pig Vs hamster
Personaly i would go with a Hamster,
Although i like them both, and they are both cute. Me and Guinea pigs, we no longer hang.
Some many years ago i was down at the park, met some chick there, she lives in the tower opposite mine, she had her Guinea pig so we started talking and playing around with the Guinea pig, it was all going good.
We were sitting down on the grass, and like it was a chilled atmosphere so i was like leaning back with legs open right? (Atthispointyoushouldbeimaginingthings)
Well, she was sitting opposite me, and her Guinea pig got away from her, and came running towards me at full charge. (Yupmorethoughtsaregoingthroughyourhead)
Well, when he reached my feet. He kinda stopped and looked at me, then he hopped on my left leg, and ran up to my lap. He then like curled up and sat down.
This was cool, you know i started to pet him and it was all good, she kinda started to giggle which was extra bonus.
Then, as fast as it had sat down, it got up and run down my right leg and went back to her. O, but it left me a nice soggy dripping warm present....
Freaking Guinea pig used me as a little rest stop... She broke into hysteria, i was embarrassed as heck...
Bastard.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Yeah, there are plenty of awesome pets out there. How come the limit of choices? Get a dog. He/she will serve you far better and will live longer than what a tiny little fluff of fur will do for you.

Re: Guinna Pig Vs hamster
Hamster are vicious they bite and they also keep you up all night as they are a nocturnal.
Guinea pigs are very noisy, they have a really annoying squeak.
Rats make awesome pets, they are really intelligent animals and they eat almost anything.

Re: Guinna Pig Vs hamster
When I was 16 and in college doing animal care, we use to have along one wall, mice, hamster and gerbils.. But the mice use to get out of their cage and run along the top or the other cages and some times they use to fall into the hamster cage and the hamster would eat the mouse that would fall into the cage...

They're really cute and cuddly and you at least know where they are cuz you can see them, and they're even smaller then a denish dog!!

No I haven't, I've looked after a Shetland pony and a horse.
I use to have a horse when I was about 15-16

Ferrets smell REALLLY BAD!!! Just a warning they have a musk that is very unplsent to the human nose and you can NOT wash the smell way. They are a lot of fun and very cute but be prepared for everyone that walks into your room to go "WHAT IS THAT SMELL??"

My ferret has been 'descented' (musk-producing glands removed), plus she gets spoiled crazy so doesn't have that weird smell.
Bastet wrote:They only smell when you don't keep them clean!!
Yup lol. They're not high maintenance either, but not caring for a ferret's hygiene will make them smell bad. But any pet will smell bad if you don't wash them on a regular basis.
