New Router

H'okay so im gonna try to get a new router in hopes of getting my bro to STFU. Right now, im watching vids on youtube and my bro in the other room is playing his homo ass half life 1 mods is yelling "OMFG LAG!" and im saying "ITS ONLY 2 FUCKING SECONDS!"->"WELL IM LAGGING!"->"FUCK YOU!"

Are there any routers that eliminate or reduce lag?

I currently have a D-Link DI-524 Wireless G router (no im not wireless and neither is my bro)

If you're using direct connection, your speed should be faster than a wireless router. Try Netgear and don't try Linksys, cause it sucks major ass.

I have the exact same wireless router. Never had any issues with it speed wise. You sure its not the internet connections bandwidth rather than the wireless router itself?

you would have to buy a router with QoS.

Then set priority to ping sensitive ports; half-life 1 port for this matter.

I recently changed my router to Netgear. It was a lot slower than my linksys so I had to switch back.
