There are real player banned...sadly, 2 of my friends...and the strange thing is that they ban player not using bots, but using 3-rd program(no-dc ect)(yes, i know bot are illegal, but there is a little difference)...
I'm not saying it's right, i've never used one, even when i didn't have premium...but still banning those people instead of bots is a bit sad, because half of them are just people using no-dc to play the game, not using bot to play it for them...
Oh, whatever... i'm happy i never used one of those and i'm sad that no one listened to me when i was saying not to use them, but at least we have some progress in the game with the bot problem and the faith is not lost

Even tho JoyMax banned 500 bots or so they need to do this regularly and it will also stop most people from botting in fear that they'll get banned

Even though they are mostly gold bots, its making a difference. Its nearly 1pm here and I just looked at rev6 and there are servers in brown and green. Not one big red ribbon across the screen. Something is happening. And I don’t know what.

To all those "ZOMG I might actually start playing again!" people. This is still not without precident. They did a ban like this in Dec 2006 - Jan 2007 and then did not ban the rest of the year. Joymax "can" ban when they want to. The thing is they generally don't want to. If they keep this up weekly it is a start. If they just shot their load for the year this is nothing to be impressed over. I am still here sitting and watching. Looking for a good reason not to organize something to get joymax's paypal merchant status revoked.

Um no it is not. That sort of shit has always been against the TOS. Still though I would rather they leave those people for last and ban some more deserving. But in the end your friend got what they knew they had coming. LOL joymax just wants to go after the small fry.

i mean... 2 days after he got fired, we got capture the flag. now they did 2 ban lists 2 days apart. that has NEVER been seen before.

I think this will continue. I think the REAL war vs bots has just begun. With all the pro-bot lazy joymax employees fired and out of the way, Joymax will make a comeback.

After I got banned on xian, I was pissed. I thought joymax was the devil. But sometimes you gotta put ur anger aside and find the good in the situation. My ban was a blessing. Without my Blader on xian, nothing was holding me down on that server. It gave me the chance to start fresh on a clean new server.

Belive it or not, but we are winning the war on venus. sure 20+ other servers have failed. And yes, things still suck. But give them a chance and you might be supprised. I have always said all along. Joymax has fixed every single problem with sro "eventualy". Bots are no differnt. It may take them a week, it may take 5 years, but it will be done. They are lazy morons, not scammers and liers.

Frankly I have seen nothing showing that those in san jose were pro bot or that those that were pro bot are gone. To everything that has happened recently there are lots of probable cause. The least likely of which is that they care about the bots all of a sudden. I am not saying that is not the case. At this point all I advise it that you don't play the needy abused spouse and jupm right back into what will likely be a still abusive relationship. I am watching what is going on with some interest. I doubt I will ever come back and no I am not bitter. I am just a watcher at the moment giving warning to those who would abandon reason.

He got fired? I think I know who you are rerfering to and that surprises me a bit. Because if I am thinking of the same person then that is an odd comment coming from you. Capture the flag could have easily been a response to recent game releases to retain hemmoraging users and same with the ban list. This is really barely diff than the dec 2006 jan 2007 bans. What we have is at best a known quantity or an anomaly. Not a trend. If it becomes a trend then talk to me. Though likely by then my opinion will have changed.

Hehe it didn't take me loosing a char to do that and I did one better. LOL I had more faith than both you and NB in joymax once. Don't take loss of faith as being bitter etc. Sure my cynicism may serve as an undue barrier to avoid wasting time on this company again. But you can't blame anyone for it. You have to admit that joymax as a whole worked hard to instill this sense of cynicism in all who share it. And frankly apart from getting more events and content sooner kSRO is not run that different from iSRO from what I understand. Which would make me think this is less to do with just the US offices and more to do with an issue with the company as a whole.

You can never win a war that is not yours to fight. That is up to joymax. It is nearly to late for them to recover. But I am still watching with some interest what they are up to. That was kind of surprising if you assume they were reasonable people.

At any rate it will take alot to win me over. The guys that run PW ban botters daily. They only announce globally the player bans. But still they ban so much that some players ask them to stop globally announcing it and just post to the forums daily as the scroll makes it hard to keep up with chat. They are going out in the field talking to players and actually finding bots on their own. Till joymax does that it is all to little.

At a quick glance, the lists look like mostly typical gold bot names, but some do look like actual character names... I just don't recognize any of them.

Joymax is not getting better. (Yet) Currently Joymax is doing nothing they have not done before. (still) We will have to wait and see if joymax has changed their ways/ (not likely)
