It stops the pot use from everyone if it succeeds so it is idd handy against snowshield users..But I still wouldnt waste your sp on it.
(You can better fire 2 nukes and kill him instead of mana droughthing him and getting 1hitted while casting it ;D )

Get mana drought skill. It's most effective against chinese nuker with snow shield on. They cannot absorb dmg when they dont have mana. Trust me, u'll be needing it.

Re: Wizard Skill --> Mana Drain
Mana drought lowers to targets mana to 50% of the original amount and constantly drains mana.
Also a potion delay is added on mana potions.
Combustion (level 76) also adds a potion delay on health potions.
You'll be needing it indeed, it's basicly the same as fear for snowshield users.

I shouldnt be saying this, but yeah get it, you will need it against builds like mine (especialy as I wear garments). Its a good skill, I have only had one wizard use it on me so far, I didnt know what was going on I couldnt use any spells lol.. Was the first time ive ever run out of mp in pvp. But yeah looks like a lot of wiz dont bother with it, there loss I guess.

Don't listen to them...If you get a bit int on your gear you can 1hit an int user your lvl anyway, even with snowshield on..So why waste sp on mana drought =/

Re: Wizard Skill --> Mana Drain
Lol, "[SW]XMoshe" is clearly a snowshield user afraid of others using that skill ^^.
1) the cast is instant
2) its great in pvp
3) if sp is the problem, just get only mana combustion

As you can see [SW]XMoshe is Wizard/Warlock

I agree Warlock/Wizards don't need Mana Drain..but other Wizards builds could use it.
Re: Wizard Skill --> Mana Drain
is this skill easy to be pilled off or resisted though?

Re: Wizard Skill --> Mana Drain
It's resisted just as easy as bind, fear and others at the same level.
And didn't see [SW]XMoshe is a warlock-wizard, a warlock-wizard might indeed go without mana drain.

Re: Wizard Skill --> Mana Drain
I was a s/s nuker. Before euro tho..But I have seen many (non sun users) getting 1 shotted even with snowshield on..
Anyway...There are two types of wizards (and rogues). The first is the hit and run..Invisibility/stealh, run outside safe zone, hit and kill and run back into safe zone and repeat. The second are the ones that will stay outside safe zone because they have some balls
If you are type one..You won't need mana drain/combustion w/ ever because you would ruïn (sp?) your surprise attack and have a chance to get killed before you even get a shot.
If you are type two..I admit you could use mana drain..but I wouldnt suggest using life control then..And you will have a hard time killing without life control (str users and same lvl ofcourse), unless you have the name SirPKAlot that has like 3 bards and a cleric sitting at dw buffing him lolz...Then it wouldn't be so hard to kill with those 34% mag dmg increase etc xD
