PVP-Petition to End the One-Hit-Kill and Pot-War Madness
Silkroad is a very good game. But it's one-hit-kill everything style of pvp is getting out of hand. It seems for pvp after level 80 or so, everything full str or full int is one hit kill. It is fun to one hit players yes. But it is not fun when both sides are one hitting each other both ways. Where is the skill? You can never tell who is the victor.
Another problem is Pot-War. A blader vs blader battle can last for hours.....
I guess the grand problem is the game will go more and more extreme. There are basically two type of players at lvl 80. You are either a one-hit-killer or a pot-warrer. When these two fights, pot-warrer will always win if the one-hit-killer cannot kill in one hit. And it is true the other way around as well.
Here is my proposal.
1) Increase the experience and sp gained from a mob by 5 times (gain 500% exp ans sp from a mob compared to currently)
2) Increase item drop rate by 4 times and amount of gold drop by 4 times (400% chance of getting item drops as currently)
3) Decrease the damage taken by both players and mobs by 4 times (both mobs and players only takes 25% the damage as currently, so they takes 4 times as long to kill)
4) Decrease the hp and mp potion effectiveness and increase the recharge time overall by 4 times (both hp and mp pots will be only 25% as effective as before)
5) Decrease healing skills effectiveness by 4 times (healing only heal for 25% as much as before)
I know this proposal is not perfect. But the basic idea is I want to end this one-hit-kill both ways madness. One hit killing someone, and then running back to the wall is not fun. But this is not the fault of the players, because if they do not run back to the wall right away they will get one hit killed by another player. I do not see how anyone can enjoy this kind of pvp for long.
Pot-War also need to end. How fun is it to fight for hours without a victor? Stunning does prevent pot drinking for a sec, but any blader will tell you stuns don't do anything to them.
This change will also benefit some builds in mob hunting. For example, right now a level 60 full int wizard cannot survive in Dunwang Caves at all. They will get one-hit-killed by mobs critical 100% of the time. So when the lvl 90 cap comes, and the new cave opens, the level 80 full int wizard will be missing all the fun. This change will allow them to stand a chance in the caves, where the spawn rate is super fast and the narrow passages prevent them from running away. Remember, one hit and they are 100% dead....

With bless, cleric buffs, bard buffs, warrior buffs.. etc many people couldnt even kill a wizard with life control over * assuming they dont use absolute damage of course *. Now when a glass cannon cant be 1 shotted, imagine a full warrior with the same set up + the extra hp move.
My point? With euro pvp it isn't all about who will 1 shot someone first.

Bladers can kill Glaivers when they are fully debuffed. But Glaivers can't easily kill Bladers. Looked like he was trying to get away from the debuffs to me.

I won't be missing any fun cause as a Wizard I do not run off to solo because Euros are suppose to be in a 8 man party!

I think the only thing that should be changed is the rogue/wiz a bit, and some clerics bless, 1 shotting is definitely gay, the only 1 shotting at lvl 80 I know of thoguh is a rogue or wiz >.>, and the clerics bless is pretty gay too, shouldnt make everyone invincible, or at least not for 45 seconds.

He didnt mean it would help in pvp.... but if you decrease the dmg that u do to mobs(and other players, here is the pvp side), it takes longer to kill them -> u kill less mobs per hour -> you get less potential drops per hour.. so if you decrease the dmg by 5, it's only reasonable to increase the drop rate to keep the drop rate as it is now.

i for one like one hit fighting, its exciting, strike first strike hard, pvp with capes is useless so dont' get mad that job style builds are one hitting each other all over the places. I made my build for jobbing i'm swift and i can one take out a higher lvl opponent in a few hits, i am aware that one mistake on my behalf would mean certain death for me, then again same way in a real fight i would think getting multi stabed in a wicked sweet combo from a sword and living to keep fighting is un realistic. The real fun comes from knowing your limitations and your strengths, i'm not sure what kind of pvp you are after then, i mean its either going to happen bam bam, or in a long drawn out fight a medium length fight is hard to get going. And just because a fight may be a 1 hit fest doesn't mean there is no stratagy invovled you have to hit the right person and plan out your escape, in case of hidden freinds of theirs, will exposing yourself to take the shot be safe? Can you afford to take the risk and sneak attack and rush 2 or more oppenents and take them out fast with aoe or combo skills? There is more to the pvp then the actual attack that may 1 hit them, if they have freinds if you suspect they have freinds, its also really fun if you have just robbed a trade and you have tons of people coming at you, plus a 5 star spawn you gota act fast. Just plan your attack, or if you are defending be carefull to avoid the theives, get in town buy fast and leave fast don't wait around attracting attention, stay off the main path. If you are the hunter keep a sharp eye and dont' hessitate.

Pretty booring when i pvp my friend that is a wiz if he hits first i die if i hit first he dies, the pvp last for like 1 second so i wont call it a real pvp.
