My first sig ever. I didn't really know what to do, blurred the background and dodged him a bit.

Not too bad. You might want to add a border. Stocks are a bit harder than renders so you get points for that. The text,imo, could be placed a little more closely to his face. All in all I will give it a 7/10 for your first try.

The guy is a render, the background is an ingame screenshot. As for LQ I think I just blurred too much.

its good that your learning how to selectivity make blurry things, messing with your tools is one of the best ways to start learning.

what i dislike it the text, that yellow color is the default color for outer glow, and it should never be used in my opinion.

get rid of that and itll be much better
