Bot Ban?

Post by Repercussion »

I haven't heard anything about the bot ban?

Or was that just to scare all the botters or something?

I'm expecting another gold bot ban... Last time they got like 3 actual botters...

I hope it comes soon... gold botters are pissing me off... the actual botters I don't care about... they just aren't worthy of the name "pro."

Lol, I feel a bit bad for the 3 botters in a way.. they were the ones picked out of all the botters lmao... [more like funny].
They were probably huge gold bot owners though..
In which case, farkthem

I thought they already had the list...

So you think they're working on a program that will block the bots, but not ban them? I guess thats good enough... stops them anyways...

or will it keep track and ban them for attempting? Cause I think if they do it that way, they will have problems by baning legits... cause I think the program will mess up...

There always is...

But look at last time... they are all gold botters... or characters that people plan on selling or just power-levelers or acadamy people...

I think they are going to ban another 5,000 gold bots... and maybe catch a few normal ones... but all the botters I know, have stopped until the bot ban is over... cause they know they wont catch them if they stop... have to bot 24/7 to get caught... <.<

It is a widely believed fact. That is in fact a widely known joke. Automated banning is rarely effective. Doubly so when there is such a big incentive to get around it. Like there is on SRO. Without actual in game administration things will never change. The only way to fix iSRO is to destroy it and let someone else buy the rights to publish internationaly.

You gotta keep the payment methods up otherwise how will the serfs pay their taxes. Nice server you have here. Would be a shame if you could not connect.

If I was a multi-million dollar business CEO, I'd definitely consider purchasing the license to host Silkroad in North America under our conditions. This game has so much potential to be great, but the corporate assholes are the ones holding it back. Fix the grind, make Silk something you can earn in game instead of paying cash for, place a $10 - $15 a month fee to play the game, add 24/7 customer support (including in game GM's) and bugfixes/updates once a month, and before you know it, this game is competing with WoW.

True story.

That is so true i've always been saying that this game just gets to me more then any other and even tho im extremely anti-bot and stuff i returned to the game a couple of times after alot of repetitive drama and thinking i was finally done with it..

Imagine silkroad without bots.

How much of a perfect game would it already be just without bots? Just realize it damit!

Yup. Ban all the player bots and gold bots. Move everyone to a single server. Watch the sparks fly. The game as it should be played. Fun to dream isn't it.

i hope only the goldbotters get ban and not the others
not all of them are that bad

i hope the gonna keep up a list that makes sure all the botusers have to wait becouse all legits want to log in:p
that would be an awsome idea

however... they are proberly only going to make a list, ban those bots and after that the servers are gonna flood again with botusers within a week

i think that becouse they have allways done it like that

Don't they ban the bots every month or so? Then the players just create a new account to bot on!

90% of the bots are gold bots...

There is about 4,000+ gold bots on every server...

4000x30 = 120,000+ gold bots on Silkroad...

Now that number is drastically high...

There is no where near 120,000 PLAYER BOTS...

If they get rid of ALL OF THE GOLD BOTS Silkroad would be better...

The only thing I have to say about bots... is thats what makes us have all of the SOS/SOM/SUNS... they make the economy better for us... :P

if u would buy this, then i will quit. i dont want a p2p game, so i will move to perfect world, which is free and has a great customer service. the only thing that is stopping me is the that this game is just too great, and if perfect world's company bought, without changing anything, then ROCK ON BABY!!!

BTW i dont think the bot ban would be today (if there is one), its mostly gonna be after 1 month for the bots to think on what build they gonna make >.>.

The only way bots will get banned is if they use a modified sro_client or a softmod or clientless bot... which all of those are stupid...

Its probably not going to be a bot ban list for a LONG TIME... I am guessing end of this month or next month...
