So, i always had a Wacom Intuos3 A6 wide. Was very satisfied with it, for sure. But, it died recently, so i need a new one.
So here's the deal, wacom has this new 'Bamboo' tablet on the market now. And this is a hell of a lot cheaper then the Intuos.
But is it as good? Google doesn't give me any definitive answers, so i turn to you, Artist corner people.
What to get? and especially: Why?
Wacom tablets, had one, but the product offers have changed.

i'm no wacom expert..
but i think it would be good for us to know what exactly you will use the tab for.
its like when someone asks advice for a new pc. one person uses it for hardcore
gaming, the other uses it for writing txt documents.
as for the tabs, i know people that use them for graphic design or digital art, but
i also know people that use their tablet isntead of their mouse. to click things.

So i think it's mostly in the sensitivity: 512 vs. 1024. And some tilt effect.
Might actually go for an a5 size this time, it's prolly gonna be a long term investment anyway.

i just found out that we have a Wacom Bamboo at my company.
i will probably try it out some time next week, but idk if
you're in too much of a rush. if you can wait for like a
week i should be able to at least give a little bit of
feedback on the device.

Well i've learned that the difference between Intuos3 and Bamboo, is mainly the pressure sensitivity. 512 vs. 1024. Which makes a huge difference, if you're into precision. Which i am.
Furthermore i've learned that the a6 is too small for most artwork, it will differ output dimensions. And the a6 is actually most used by people with RSI, e.g. they get huge pain in hands/wrists when working with a mouse.
So i think i'm gonna go for the a5 WIDE this time, Intuos ofcourse, it'll be a nice investment for the future.
