Not exactly spray and pray. Taken down many noobs who dont know how to aim, or they try to bunny hop. Its a fun game but multi is rather lacking.

Well, when I started CoD4 I had been playing CoD2 for a long, long time and there's a big difference between the games. In CoD2 those who get top stats often use snipers/rifles but in CoD4 I could easily get like 50-5 in a map just using a MG+Red dot. Maybe that's because the game was new and full of newbs but anyway.

Eh, only the people without skill use the M60 and ACOG...specially in HC, basic 1 hit kill. But they dont aim...can easily kill them with a G3 before they get you

i play nothing but hardcore team deathmatch. dont see many sprayers that often and its always the campers or stealthy ones that get the higest scores. sometimes if im really bored and i get out my ak with a noob tune and sonic boom and do some spraying with that though.

And of course i spray on shipment. Everyone sprays on shipment.

That's my point really. I'm not saying I'm good at CoD4. I just played it for a week or so when it was realeased. But when I was just spraying with any MG I would get the top score of the server. But it also depends on the map. My fav. weapon was that semi-auto weapon btw, M14?

Haven't seen them, nope. Sounds cool. Imagine playing with the adapter against people with normal controls.

MP for me is wicked, especially on hardcore mode...just look for a server where the mods are always present and best you join guilds or clans where games against other clans can be scheduled...makes it more worthwhile...

also some maps on the modded servers are real nice...^^

hardcore mode = win

I don't really like free for all or team deathmatch, I love search and destroy, and i'll play all the other ones.

I don't use the red dot, unless you're handicapped the ironsights give you the same zoom; and with everything except for the sniperrifle you can quickzoom and shoot before the sights come up, seeing that it's HC they usually die before the sights come up.

My kits are the following:

M4/AK + silencer; doesn't really matter which gun I use, I just keep something on full auto for maps that have big clearings with a lot of debris (like backlot), the auto makes it good for prefiring corners.

M14 + silencer; I use this in urban maps because it penetrates walls pretty well, and you can peg people from the other side of town; maps like crossfire get raped by m14.

P90/Scorpion/Ak74U/etc. + silencer; I don't see a huge difference in SMGs, they all shoot fast and kill in 3~ hits. The only notable difference is some of them (AK74U, mini uzi, etc.) recoil way too much with double tap, so I put on stopping power, but I leave double tap on the other ones. I keep my SMG kit for indoor maps like vacant.

Either way, add me to xfire to play!

edit: oh yeah, and the PUG system is amazing.

You join, I think it`s #cod4pug, I have my mirc auto join me to the channel... you type .join and it makes teams and tells you what vent channel to join, you join a ventrilo, join the channel, and follow the team/server info. Once everyone gets in the server it starts the match. If you're QQing that it's too easy, it's because you're playing in pubs - its the same for every game. PUGs are a bit harder, team scrims harder. The only thing that sucks is that most perks and weapons are disabled.

My favorite setup at the moment is my SMG setup. Silenced P90, bomb squad perk, uav jammer and that one that makes your movement quieter. Soo good for sneaking around and getting behind the enemy. I love the uav jammer perk in general too, I have it on all my setups except for my noobtube/sonic boom setup. gets me so many extra kills where people turn on the uav and run because they think nobody is there.

bandolier + double tap + dead silent is my usual P90 setup. I find the UAV jammer useful when i'm playing more tactical, like with a rifle, but since usually with an SMG you want to be on the assault, it can't track you well enough. Double tap = great for assaulting

wow, nice setups...;-)

agree that double tap and bandolier are the way to go when assaulting...but since i sometimes have issues with my ping i go coward and use frag x3 and deep impact to shoot through walls and other barriers...^^

in the servers i play martyrdom is usually frowned upon...but who needs it? it is just a matter of who usually the first shot in first since 1 or 2 solid shots gets you the kill...really love the hardcore mode...;-)

I don't understand people who use martyrdom, I mean you almost never get killed by it.

My SMG setup always was silencer + bandolier + stopping power + dead silent

I love this game, got it for christmass and its awsome.

My favorite setups are:

M4 + red dot + Bandalor + Stopping power + Dead Silence

M95 + Acog + Bandalor + Stopping Power + Deep impact

Scorpion + Bandalor + Double Tap + Dead Silence

When my comp is once again in working order we will all have to get together and play a round or two.

I have the game. Both the single player and the multi-player mode are f**king amazing. Showdown Map is the best :P

My usual class setup is:

M60E4 + Red Dot Sight
M1911 .45 + Silencer
ClaymoreX2, Juggernaut, Martyrdom/Last Stand (Depending on server rules)
Frag/Flash Grenade

I didn't really play it too much, I tried but then went to multiplayer. For a better single player experience, I think it would be better to learn to play through multiplayer, so you can play single player on a harder difficulty where it doesn't take 428 bullets to die.

Console>PC especially in the case of Call of Duty, personally i don't like it cause i find it boring but i think its one of the best shooters out there. Don't see why ppl would play it on PC and reduce it to point and click while subjecting it to all sorts of cheats/mods/hacks and everything else under the sun...
