yeah its the same, only that its open beta and there aren't any cool stuff like dual swords

There's a little section on "Mabinogi Heroes" at the bottom of the page.

From what i can grasp through the wiki article. Mabinogi Heroes = Mabinogi with a more realistic fighting system.

So Mabinogi = Hl2 engine. It seems like an upgraded runescape. (now I'm interested) >.>

@Jstar: now I'm really interested. After i hit 6x in a month on venus I'll try Mabinogi, thats on the condition joymax's bot ban does nothing.

dude sro just isn't worth it at all. Honestly, even if you pay its not worth it. mabinogi is so much better, good customer service.

the game is set up so that you can't camp in one spot (so that you can't bot). There are no bots or ksers.

sounds ideal, but its true and if you actually are choosing sro over this game, have fun throwing away your time and money into the trashcan

its really really sad when I see people complaining about bots and other shit in sro when there are so many better games. Honestly, I don't get what gets people from contiuning the game. SRO disgusts me

The both use Hl2 engine, but the fighting in Heroes is more indepth. The story and everything else is pretty much the same. Like in Heroes you could blow up something then take the shards and use it to fight.

Mabinogi Heroes
From what i can tell Mabinogi Heroes is a Hack+Slash MMORPG, similar to Rakion, except it(Heroes) has more MMORPG elements.
Mabinogi
Mabinogi would be the Cutesy MMORPG Equivalent of Heroes without the "gore".

So my first assumption was right.
Mabinogi =/= HL2 engine. It has Anime Elements with a RPG friendly "scenario"
Heroes = HL2 engine. It is the action MMORPG.

SRO has made me so used to Grind games that, in the case of me attempting Mabinogi, the Transition from Pure grind to Quest based would be hard.

i have yet to start, the game + the installer crashes on my laptop (even when i try to delete its desktop icon... wtf?).
so i have to wait till i get my desktop back, my mom's hogging it to watch some chinese TV series

I'm still playing, and I'm in your server too. I like it alot I'm only level 16/17 though (haven't played for a few days). I'm trying to learn some bow skills, but that one teacher person is always like "come back later" -_-.

Also, do you know if it's worth getting perfect training? Is the only bonus an xp bonus? Or what? Because I didn't perfect train my first level of ranged fighting, but that's because I couldn't, the last two methods of training were "unknown training method"s.
