Hmm, I still dont believe the premium theory.
Lets say that on the old server with 3500 capacity there are 2000 goldbots.
So lets say JM does run them, goldbots dont buy silk.
If they just spawned the gold there could be 2000 more players of which some buy silk, not all of them but since no goldbot buys silk more silk is bought.
This means more profit. And since JM loves money i believe this is what they would have done.
So I dont think JM runs the gold bots.

Even if they couldn't spawn items and money, they could still go into the accounts database manually and put in like 100bil into an account manually.

There is actually a perfectly reasonable explanation why gold bots would still exist if joymax really were behind the sale of gold.

Imagine the economy suddenly spiking sky with no reasonable explanation as to how the gold came about? People would be screaming there heads off at joymax making accusations of there corruption and claiming to report them etc.

Now think about the economy spiking sky high but with masses of gold bots running around and gold companies stalling item drops/elixirs etc, people are now given a reason as to why it’s happening because the gold bots are in plain sight.

All joymax needs to do is ban a few gold bots now and again and they’ve got a perfect shield to hide the in game sale of gold if in fact they were behind it.

(of course the premium sale theory is also aided by the use of gold bots as a shield,and no i don't personally believe any of the theories of joymax being behind everything)

Yeah but inflation of the economy of SRO is a process which you can't undo.
Gold drops from every mob, there is no limit of gold in a server.
Equips drop, there is no fixed maximum number of equips in a server.
Its going slow, but if SRO existed for like 10 years.
So lets say we're 10 years in the future and SRO still exists, the old servers are hyperinflated.

I really hope this is a joke. But in case it isn't, I just want you to know that "money" is just a number. They don't even have to login to the game to "create" it. Updating the "moneyfield" in their database for a particular character would suffice. They could create items in a similar way as well.

Joymax does not run the goldbots. It is not part of a "masterplan" to first create goldbots in huge numbers, and then, after many months, make premium tickets available. JM could easily "simulate" servers being full by lowering the max players to 1000. This would create the same result, except they wouldn't seriously piss off the majority of their customers and wouldn't have to take so much shit for not banning any bots. Of course since the cat is out of the bag regarding actual server capacity, people would bitch even more if they lowered the cap now.

The only thing i could see is that the goldbot companies pay some kind of fee to JM for not banning them. But even that would be far fetched since they (the companies) could not pay more than the actual revenue from their sales, so if JM sold the gold themselves, they would make more money.

Joymax know that the player of sro is going to very likely dish out on atleast 200 silk per month in order to gain server access, with these gold bots taking up most of each servers capacity this imo is really a necessity to really do well in silkroad. So with this, they are amost giving us a p2p game, but also luring us into thinking its also f2p and then releasing item mall dresses, like the pirate outfit, so people shell out again. Its also clever there, people cannot buy 160 silk, and cannot buy 160 worth with the closest payment option joymax give you, 150 silk! So again, you're forced into buying 200 silk for the 160 silk item, of course its 130 for dress and 30 for hat =160 full set.

Joymax gain more money for having bot infested servers!

Look at the note who killed Yarkan and Isy Then look the symbol in front of the char. name
Was an exploit as a lv4 could do the most possibile dmg to anything high level
Took JM 2 weeks to fix it, til that was messing up the servers.
Thanks to that I had a lot of chat with korean players and learned how ksro is run ...
